This is, in my view, one of the best data fields currently available for tracking performance. Combination of TRIMP and RPE provides better assessment of training effort than heart zones alone, plus the design is simple and easy to read. It's somewhat comparable with Strava suffer score except that it's much more reliable.

I switched from the FR235 to the Vivoactive 3 and miss the training effect (TE) readings that I found very useful. This data field replaces that and provides me much more information. I think TRIMP readings should come standard with any device that track activities (read: http://fellrnr.com/wiki/TRIMP) . Great data field that I use with every workout.

Why there is 10 HR zones ? Even Joe Friel has only 7 zones. It has no sense, can you change it to 7 (or 5) ?

Hello. To calculate average RPE TRIMP-Meter uses the concept of simplified RPE 10 scale (Borg CR10 Scale) with values from 0 to 10 where 0 is 'no intensity' and 10 is 'maximum intensity'. Each zone in the scale can be assigned to a heart rate zone. That is why there are ten zones.

Excellent. Only screen I need up while walking/jogging each day, In my case to equate to Garmin intensity minutes I times by 0.6. Better than Garmin Intensity minutes in as 1. Does not have to be 100% continuous activity above a threshold HR, 2. Graph is a good visualization. 3. You can customize to your HRR zones. 4. Easy to check if it is working properly, if not, why.

What would be also nice is a RPE Graphic afterwards.

In an early beta version TRIMP-Meter saved a RPE graph, but I decided to remove it because of the following reason:
The RPE calculated in TRIMP-Meter is based on heart rate while activity. It is actually a "translation" of the HR into another scale from 0 to 10. Therefore the RPE graph with ups and downs is more or less similar to the heart rate graph and does not provide additional useful info.
