Best elliptical app yet! I have a SportArt elliptical which I use daily and wanted to be able to track my usage of it with my Garmin Vivoactive 4s. Previously I had to manually transfer the parameters from the display to the Garmin elliptical app by manually editing the fields in the app which was time consuming and limited. I also tried another elliptical app which I paid for but it didn’t provide as much information as this one does. First of all, all elliptical trainers have a crank arm that drives the flywheel which provides the level of resistance you have chosen. In order to be able to track your activity on an elliptical trainer you need to install a cadence sensor on the crank arm and one of the best is the Garmin Cadence Sensor 2 which fastens to any size crank arm and measures pedal strokes per minute. In order for me to install it on my elliptical, I had to remove the plastic shell covering the flywheel and crank arm (Remember to unplug it first) and then it was a simple matter of using the included rubber band to attach the cadence sensor to the crank and re-attaching the plastic shell. On my elliptical trainer, my stride length is 20”, so 1 complete revolution which is about 1 meter (39.4”), which is the default for stride length in the program. The app paired with my Garmin Cadence sensor the first time I used it and does it every time I use the elliptical. It also paired with my Polar H10 heart monitor providing R-R interval, avg-HRV, time in heart rate zones, skipped beats, double beats, missed beats and so much more. The display on my Garmin Vivoactive 4s gives me all the information I need and so now I keep it on top of the elliptical display (as I don’t need to wear it for optical heart rate) to track my activity as I exercise. I wish JulianMerino wrote an app for stationary bicycle as this one does it all.

I can't configure it. Always shows wrong RPM values. Once 30 RPM, another time 150 RPM.

Hola.

I like it more than the original app on my device. If you need help for German translation, let me know. "Save" is not "sparen" (it's only saving of money) but "speichern". But I understand it! Best regards from Vienna.

Does exactly what it says it does! I am using an old ANT+ cadence sensor. mounted on the spindle from the flywheel that connects to the back of the footplate. I have used it a few times, and its accuracy has been spot on. Only minore niggles, and I think its likely down to my OCD is the odd spelling mistake - LENGHT not Length, and perhaps the instructions could be reviewed / edited by some one who has English as a first language - but that's only a very minor niggle - all in all a great little app, which is far more accurate than the Garmin one that is built into my Fenix 6 pro!

A very good app! Just couldn't find distance data after training with my Vivoactive 4.

Hi Даниил Мазаев, thank for your review. This information should be at the bottom of the detail page activity in Garmin Connect app. Are ConnectIQ fields because Garmin dont override their own fields. You can correct the total distance of activity editing it with this value. Enjoy
