This data field calculates a Climbing-Adjusted average speed in miles per hour. Our club uses this system for rating club rides and it has good predictive power for estimating ride time on hilly terrain. The correction factor, hilliness, is equal to feet/mile/25, and is generally between 0 and 4.

An example: Assuming you ride 17mph on flat terrain, on a century with 5000ft of climbing (hilliness = 2), you should expect to average 15mph on your bike during the ride. This data field will display 17mph during that century. This data field displays your average speed in mph without correction for the first 1km of your ride.
