The app is tricky to set up and uses wifi, not bluetooth, to connect to the lock. Did not work reliably on my forerunner 645, and after some back and forth with the developer I eventually got a refund. maybe it works better on newer watches.

Terrible and unreliable. Save your money, great idea but just not working. Connectivity issues. No real support, expensive to not even work a fraction of the time.

Working better than ever after the last update. It now even connect directly to wifi (no need to have the phone connected to work). Thanks!!!

Does not appear to work. Entered all the info and when opening on the watch I get a black screen and was never able to try to obtain the one time code

Used to be a nice little widget so i didnt have to fuss with keys or phones during/after a run, but now its so buggy that I can’t really use it.
Like the previous review, the latest update causes the widget to hang on my fenix 6x at multiple points of operation including the inability to exit.
Really, I just wish the new “feature” to use wifi was implemented as an option i could turn off. I suspect its the main cause of all the new bugs with the widget on my watch.

Used to love this app but reacently it crashes my watch. When i open it i can't close the app, i have to restart my watch...

I have had difficulty getting the app to get past the "connecting" stage on my Forerunner 245. However, after multiple attempts of trial and error, I was finally able to get the app to work. I found that starting from scratch worked for me. (i.e. remove app) and email verify code was the only one I received.
One other thing was Stepten from Turner-tec was very accommodating to help via email to resolve the issue and August was of no help at all. Would have rated 5 but it was a real pain.

The App has just been updated to use wifi directly from the Garmin watch (no longer requiring a Bluetooth connection to a Smartphone). Just tested and works well. Great support from the Developer. I'm using with Fenix 6 Pro.

First, I’ll restate that your username is your phone number including + and the 1 in front of the area code. So +1 then your ten digit phone number without spaces or dashes. For example +1XXXXXXXXXX
Unfortunately it is almost impossible to get this app setup to work the first time. And then it fails a majority of the times after. It also requires that your phone is nearby in order to unlock the August lock via the watch widget. You’ll spend an inordinate amount of time trying to set this up, and it will not be efficient enough to make it worth your time. This developer MyQ widget is awesome though!
The two factor authentication doesn’t send. My login credentials are accepted, I get the screen on my watch that instructs me to return to the phone app settings to enter the two factor authentication code, but I never receive a text with the code. I verified that August can send me a code by logging in directly through the August app. Clearly there’s a disconnect between this widget and the August system. Frustrating and way too time consuming!!

Works, but a little slow to connect. It'd probably be easier to just take my phone out of my pocket. Also there's no indication in-app that you press and hold the menu button to unlock. And needing to use press and hold just slows the process more. Finally, the glance name includes the developer name. "Smart lock by Turner Technologies". It makes it feel totally out of place alongside others. No offense intended, but I don't need to know your company any more, I already bought the app.

Downloaded the app recently knowing it would take some time to figure out. Things I learned that may help. 1st, when entering your username into the garmin app, it is probably your phone number. It must be entered as +1555555555(fill in your phone number. The plus sign and the 1. I believe this is the way August has you in their profile. Once you have the username and password in the app will connect and will send you either a text or an email with the verification code. Put that code in quickly as it deactivates quickly. If need do a reset settings per the instructions and get a new code. After a few tries it should work. I also found you have to load your phone garmin connect app, the "phone disconnected" error code will display if you don't Hope this helps.

Unfortunally It is not working with August locker pro 3gn, app shows that two factor auth failed or password incorrect. But I am sure that was fine.

Although I am perfectly aware of how hard integrating August products are...This has been a complete waste of money and time. Hit a wall when it says password incorrect but it is not.

After a tedious activation process (you must follow the steps precisely in order), the app works but responsiveness could be better. My experience it that it takes about 5 seconds for the door icon to appear after the widget is opened. The amount of time the button needs to be pushed for the door to be locked/unlocked is also closer to 5 seconds, so by the time the door actually does lock, (10 seconds) I'm often far enough away that I don't hear the reassuring sound of the door locking. It is supposed to be 2 seconds which I would assume is to prevent accidental activation but my experience is that is always longer than this and maybe dev can shorten it.
After the widget is opened and the door connects, there is no way to swipe out and back to the watch face. Need to wait about 30 seconds for it to time out, hopefully another item that can be modified.
Promising app and hopefully some of the harsh edges can be smoothed.

It's a little cumbersome to get setup but following the instructions to the letter, it worked without issue. I wish there was feedback when you've held the button long enough to lock or unlock the door but so far it's working well. I'm happy with it. Great integration. I'd like to do some testing and figure out if it requires my phone to work or if it's working via the Garmin's wifi or exactly what. I'm hoping the phone isn't required but tbd. I'm also going to send an email to find out if I can use the key just for my account or if I can also use it for my wife. That'll be the final
determination if it's worth the money. But I'm happy so far.

I have the 4th gen. August lock and have tried to connect it to my Fenix 6X sapphire through this app/widget without success. I have followed installation instructions and troubleshooting 8-10 times and I continue to receive "connection error" message and have been unable to control the lock. Is there a step or permission I am missing?
