I've started to have some issues with TP. every single session since 5 days ago crash after 20 or 30 minutes or even a lap in the work out developed. It's just happen with the TP's WO - Device Garmin edge 820 v8.80

Used to work but it's now hopeless, I get TP sessions sent daily by my coach which quickly fills up the memory. I never connect my 935 to a computer and don't own one and my work one won't let connect devices. Why can't it just overwrite, I don't need yesterdays workout just today's.

This worked great for the first few months I had my garmin 935 and but it hasn't worked in months. I have removed and reinstalled the app, updated it... no luck! I have looked at the troubleshooting FAQ's and I suppose I could have too many workouts on the watch but the FAQ doesn't really explain how to do it.

If it looks like the workouts are downloading but then all you see is the screen with the TrainingPeaks logos, then you have to many workouts stored on the device. We are working with Garmin to see how this experience can be improved. To fix this, plug your device in to a coputer and then delete the files located in the /Garmin/Workouts folder.

OK, update to previous review....had to clear workouts previously downloaded to watch, using too much space! The app works great now!! Love being able to build my workouts and have them show on my 935!!

Started using Training peaks a few weeks a go with my Garmin Forerunner 935. Worked really well with a training plan I bought. For the last 4 days i have not been able to download my workouts onto my phone. really frustraiting. Have already connnected and disconnected Training peaks and Garmin. Unistalled and installed this app and re-authorized it. I go into the Training Peak App within my watch and the following happens: 1) if there are no structured workouts - then it gives me the message "no strucutred workouts" 2) if there are structured workouts - it displays the title of the workouts. when I click on one fo them - it starts "downloading" the training. then it goes back to the title page without any error but also not going into the training. PLEASE HELP! it's super annoying and it was such a great feature!

Successfully downloaded the IQ app onto my Garmin Edge 520. But issues with authorising Garmin Connect to access TrainingPeaks workouts. On the Edge, get the message: "Open the Connect Mobile App and log in" Did as told on my iPhone (running latest Garmin Connect app). In the Garmin Connect app on the phone, after logging into TrainingPeaks, it takes me to a TrainingPeaks screen (oath.trainingpeaks.com it shows in the address bar). It tells "Request for Permission. TrainingPeaks IQ App is requesting permission to do the following: -Read the workout(s) of the day from your TrainingPeaks account" And there the story ends.... NO button is showing to provide this permission!! So not able to download the structured workouts from TP to my Edge520. @GARMIN DEVELOPER: please fix this! Please advise.

Great app with hr and pace ..... but now I started using runpower by stryd. The app only shows an empty power field named "power" but the stryd power number wont show there. I have to configure a seperate stryd power iq field and switch from trainingpeaks screen to custom screen. That is really bad. Customization would be great!. Second: Offline capability would be great.using an 700€ trainingscomputer without a smartphone would be a great thing ;) So you would be able to download a workout and do it 40minuts later without the watch.

1 - Once you are performing the workout you are back in Garmin's workout interface, and the ability to customization the workout screen is up to Garmin. We will pass along your feedback to Garmin that the workout screen should be customizable; and that the Stryd footpod should be supported as a standard sensor and not through a IQ data field - otherwise it will not work Garmin's workout screen. . 2 - All of the downloaded workouts are saved on the device, so you can download your workout ahead of time and then leave your phone at home! When will structured power workouts for running and power be available. Having to switch to another garmin screen and use the TP screen just as an indicator for phase changes is a pain.

Once you are performing the workout, you are back in Garmin's workout interface. The main workout screen is not customizable, but you add cadence to a custom screen. I mostly love this app. My coach now uses TP to build my plans but she often uses RPE versus speed or heart rate. At first, these would not import at all but the TP site indicated this functionality would be coming soon. Now, I see that RPE structured workouts will import, however, they set no targets other than the interval time. Will this be updated in the future to drive difference in efforts during the workout or does one simply have to guess which interval they're on and adjust.

Once you are performing the workout you are back in Garmin's workout app. Since Garmin's workout app does not support RPE as an intensity target we are not able to include those targets in the .FIT Workout file that is transferred to the watch. What we can provide for RPE workouts is the duration of each step and the type of each step: Warm up, Active, Recovery, or Cool down. The step type should be displayed on your Garmin device to help with some of the guesswork.

I think this is a great app for structured run/bike workout. I ran into a problem as some of you that I couldn't use the app anymore. I opened the app and automatically started downloading the workout , but instead of the workout as usual, the app came back with the TrainingPeaks logo. For this I found a solution, I hope it works for you guys. I also get the ‘connect your phone and open the Connect Mobile App’. I can’t even delete the Trainingpeaks app. I bought a 735xt because of this app. The 920xt doesen’t work with trainingpeaks. Now I know it was just waste of money, I could as well have kept the 920xt.

I have a forerunner 935 and I downloaded the app several weeks ago and it was working terrific! very helpful with complex training and easy to set up on the go. All of a sudden the apps stopped loading the workouts.... Is was showing the downloading workouts screen and once you select the workout the loading screen start running and comes back tot he loaded workout menu without starting any workout. I reseted my watch, re-installed the apps and still not working... my training load is decreasing for all the time I´m loosing to try to make it work. Very disappointing!!

Works just fine with the Garmin 935 Forerunner. Massive massive help for complex workouts like mixed intervals. If the workout stops downloading then it is probably because you have to delete all the other other stored workouts as I have found over the last two weeks. I just followed the help as shown in the link below and it was fine. Again, great app that has been a massive help. Thanks.
