Cycle through Middle-earth: map your rides onto 11 Tolkien character journeys.

Ride the Ring is a free Connect IQ widget that turns your cycling
distance into a journey through Middle-earth. Inspired by the popular
"Walk with Frodo" concept but built for cycling, it maps your cumulative
riding distance onto the routes of 11 characters from The Lord of the
Rings and The Hobbit.

### How it works
- Pick a character (Frodo Baggins is the default; more unlock as you progress).
- Ride any cycling activity — outdoor, indoor, or trainer. Every
kilometer counts toward your character's journey.
- Rides are credited **automatically** when you open the widget: the app
reads the cycling activities recorded on your watch — no setup, no data
field to configure, nothing to start or stop.
- Watch your progress advance through a sequence of named landmarks
  (e.g. Hobbiton - Bree - Weathertop - Rivendell - Moria - ... -
  Mount Doom).
- Cross a highlighted milestone (a story beat) and earn a badge icon for
it; the widget celebrates milestones and completed journeys the next
  time you open it.
- Complete a character's full journey to earn their badge and unlock the
next characters in the branching unlock tree.

### Features
- 11 characters, each with a unique landmark sequence and total distance
(Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir,
  Bilbo, Gollum).
- Automatic ride credit from the watch's activity history — zero setup.
- Per-character independent progress — switch characters and your prior
  distance is preserved.
- Milestone system: current landmark, next landmark, distance to next
milestone, and percent complete to the journey end.
- Highlighted story-beat milestones with dedicated icons.
- Badge gallery with completion dates and per-character stats.
- Units toggle (kilometers / miles) via Connect IQ Mobile settings.
- Reset the active character's journey (with confirmation).
- Free, no ads, no sign-in. All data stays on your device.
