The Kite GPS by WOO Sports app enables your Garmin Watch to track and save your kite session's GPS. It will display speed metrics like speed live, max speed and 30 sec max and give you helpful information right on your wrist. This includes a live GPS Map, your distance to origin as well as information on your health status and calorie usage.

The created GPS recording will show up and be ready to save on your WOO Phone Mobil App, enabling you to keep a record of your adventures and share them with your friends and family.

ALERT: There seems to be a Garmin firmware issue related specifically to the newest watch models like Fenix 7 that causes GPS not to connect. We were able to reproduce it and now are looking for a workaround.

Version 1.7

Added Instinct 2X.

Version 1.6

More workaround fixes for firmware issue on some watches causing GPS not to start.

Added FR265 and FR965 watches.

I use this app for over a year and it works perfectly every time! Not sure what all complaints below are about. Best kitesurfing app!

Je l'utilise en planche a voile, et elle est très bien. Bien lisible en navigation, et après le rapport est parfait. Merci

Question to dev. team: especially for kitesurfing I would want to enable the auto lock screen to avoid accidental ‘stop’ of the session. Normally, when you start a sport activity the lock appears after a few seconds so you know the screen is locked. I don’t see the lock appear when starting this app. After 10 seconds or so it seems that the screen is locked (which is good of course) but I would want to see it going into lock status. Do I miss something here?

Touch screen is locked as soon as the session starts. It is not the kind of lock that requires "unlock" (app can't do that) - instead all screen touches are ignored. The buttons are still active though - that is how you control the app. You can always enable "Lock" through hot buttons yourself too, but we think that current solution is ideal for kiteboarding. Thanks

Is it possible to develop and add an item in the statistics: "500m best speed"

This is great. Finally I don't have to mess around changing activity type in Garmin/Strava after a session. The only slightly odd thing I find with it is that it starts the session immediately. The core Garmin activity apps and most 3rd party apps start paused (this also allows time for GPS lock to occur) and then the start stop button can be used to begin the session and pause it when necessary. If the devs read these reviews, it would be great if.you could look at this.

Thanks for the feedback. The controls are simplified intentionally - we feel that the less you have to communicate with your watch on the water the better! Also, we don't want the session to be accidentally paused from hitting ENTER button. We think that this behavior is better suited for Kitesurfing activity.

Great app! For the times that I use my directional board without my Woo.
