Seems potentially cool but it's very confusing to set up. I've read everything on the support forum and I still can't get it working on my Fenix 5s.

I have posted new instructions. If still having issues please email via the contact developer button for more help.

If try to assign a task to the back button, the app crashes. In settings it says the back task is not available in VA3, but I have a VA HR. Is it a big, or some trick that I miss? Everything else works fine.

Thanks a lot ... after update it is possible to choose other positions in menu. Left / right swipe works OK for Vivoactive now. Could you also update widget version? Thanks in advance Greg

I will get the widget updated tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback earlier and sorry for the bug. My watch doesn't have a touchscreen so sometimes I miss things in my testing.

Hello ...How do you scroll through menus to select tasks (Vivoactive) I can trigger only first position in menu?

You can swipe left or right to scroll. I just pushed a big fix.

VaHR now works great, only i hope to find alternative to notification listener/auto notification.

Vivoactive hr tasker now is very wired, the text is too big and hides the time behind the labels.

I'll take a look at it Monday. It should be easy to fix, I probably messed up the auto width function for the Vivoactive HR. I have to check each device when I make changes and sometimes don't get to checking the ones I don't own

Good concept but I can't figure out how to use it. The xml file says that it contains nothing.

Does not do a damn thing

August 31, 2017 | Version 1.60

The application adds a whole new level of value to my Fenix 3! It's pure awesomeness to be able to trigger Tasker tasks from the watch. My use for this is for driving, where I want to control phone calls/messaging, Sygic navigation and my music player. Some potential improvements for me would be: - Reduced font size, or dynamic font size for longer named tasks - Ability to remove the "Enter", "Up", "Down" etc labels, including the additional acctions for the "Back" button - Similar to the multiple clicks on the "Back" button, the addition of different tasks to double "Enter", double "Up", tripple "Up" etc. xD

I should be able to add the option to remove labels next week, I don't have a computer on the weekend to work on the app. I may be able to implement the dynamic font size, I've done it on one of my watch faces, will look into adding. The double/triple button presses wouldn't work for my use case of a TV remote where I use up and down for fast-forward and rewind and press multiple times, but I will consider it as a configurable option in the future if more people are interested. Configurable options like that get messy in the code with my limited SW knowledge.

Amazing app, must have for android users. Now i can control my Philips Hue and the Nest from my forerunner! Keep it up with great work..

May 23, 2017 | Version 1.52

Works great! But, I recommend you add an option to hide from watch app unused button/task selections. The watch screen looks so busy with all of the other possible selections. For example, I only use this app for one task, which I have assigned to "Select". Hence, I would like to be able to hide "Up:", "Down:", and "Next:"

Excellent App. Very clean and organized, very convenient to have, once you get it figured out. Just a couple of minor things (with a vivoactive): 1) The Menu Tasks don't scroll, so I'm limited to the main screen, plus 1 (not 20) additional tasks 2) You can't delete a task once it's been assigned unless you uninstall and reinstall the app on your watch. You can change the name, but you can't assign a 'blank' task.

If you are still using the app you can now assign a blank task with a space character

April 24, 2017 | Version 1.52

How do you scroll through menus to select tasks?

January 27, 2017 | Version 1.401

How do i exit on fenyx 3. I can hold the up button to get to a screen that says select a task. From there hitting enter appears to crash the app. Then i can exit. Do i even have a menu button?

Developer Reply
January 29, 2017, cthielker

Press back 2 times for menu and 3 times to exit.

Thank you so much, the new update is great, only 3 click to exit is a little confusing.

January 17, 2017, cthielker

That was my workaround for the menu button not working on the forerunner 235. If you don't assign a task to back 1 click exits.

January 7, 2017 | Version 1.32

Great work. Replaces some basic functions I had set up on my android watch.

January 5, 2017 | Version 1.22

I love it, It works great on my Vivoactive HR. I wish for the next update: * In the task menu using gesture Up/Down instead of right/left to select tasks . * timeout for the app to exit automatically if the user forget to close it .

Version 1.3 includes these changes. Anything that was left or right is remapped to up and down. If you do not press a button for 30 minutes the app exits. You may need to connect to a computer to update.
