Real-time procedural fire engine running live on your wrist.

No pre-rendered GIF loops. No pre-baked animations.
Just in time for Halloween, Doom Fire Halloween brings the legendary 1990s demoscene algorithm directly to Garmin hardware. A fully procedural, stochastic heat simulation computed in real time - where the time itself acts as an active thermal source, igniting the dark void above it.
Every flame tongue, spark, and thermal updraft is calculated live on your watch's processor using the classic advection-decay mathematics popularized by the 1996 console ports of DOOM.

Under the Hood (For the Tech-Minded)
100% Live Cellular Advection: A custom embedded physics kernel processes convective heat transfer and randomized cooling frame-by-frame. No two frames of fire are ever identical.
Organic Heat Injection: The clock digits aren't an overlay sticker. They are embedded directly into the heat field using bitmask arithmetic, creating a dynamic thermal gradient that pulses and breathes like white-hot forged steel.
CRT Interlacing Aesthetic: Uses an authentic alternate-field scanline rendering technique from 1980s demo hardware, delivering high-contrast retro vibes on Memory-in-Pixel (MIP) screens while cutting display draw overhead in half.
Extreme Memory Footprint: Engineered strictly for resource-constrained ARM Cortex architectures. Zero dynamic memory allocations in the render loop, zero garbage collection pauses, and a micro footprint under 14 KB of RAM.
Authentic 37-Color PSX Palette: Faithfully re-creates the original 37-step black-to-cherry-to-white thermal color spectrum.
Display Compatibility
MIP Displays (Fēnix, Enduro, Forerunner, Instinct): High-contrast pixel rendering with razor-sharp scanline definition that excels in direct sunlight.
AMOLED Displays (Epix, Venu, Marq): Deep inky blacks with brilliant, glowing fire gradients.
Battery & Efficiency Notice
This watch face is built with low-level embedded optimization tricks from the 8-bit and 16-bit eras. The engine sleeps intelligently and throttles physics ticks outside of active gestures to keep power consumption predictable and battery life intact, or almost intact )
