Nice app, using a Bryton gardia 300L Are there special settings for this device? I would like to see the names of the light modus the Gardia is in. Is that possible??

You need to create a configuration by using the Lights Configurator (https://maca88.github.io/BikeLightsControl) and set the "Lights Configuration" app setting by using Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express in order to have the light mode names displayed inside the buttons

Thanks for this app. I have Fenix 7, but I am not ale to set S - Smart mode. After some time it switches to N mode and I don't see an option to switch to S mode anywhere.

Bike Lights Control does not have a S -Smart mode. Smart mode is only available in the Smart Bike Lights data field. If you are using Smart Bike Lights data field, you can use the on-device settings menu which can be opened by holding the Up button and then navigate to "ConnectIQ Fields - Smart Bike Lights - Control mode" in order to change again to Smart mode.

First of all, thank you for the excellent work you have made available, however I have had this apparently unsolvable problem for a week, let me explain: Device: Garmin Edge 830 Front light: Flare ion 200 Rear light: Flare RT My configuration: #4587520,196641:0,1334023111:1##6291461,1409482753:0,2000633951:1##7,6:Ion 200 RT:0:16777215!2,:-1,Off:0!1,High:1!1,Medium:2!1,Low:5!1,Day Flash:63!1,Night Flash:62#7,6:Flare RT:0:16777215!2,:-1,Off:0!1,Day Steady:1!1,Night Steady:5!1,Day Flash:7!1,All-Day Flash:8!1,Night Flash:63#0::#0:0#123!:123!#0#B3122#2#1#0#0 For a week now the screen has only "Error 3", I have already looked for the meaning (Light panel contains a light mode that the connected light does not support). So with the configurator I tried countless other solutions but the problem persists. Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix the problem? Thanks again for the support.

Try to remove the configuration (leave empty), so that you will see the light mode numbers on the buttons. Flare ion 200 should have the following numbers: 0,1,2,5,63,62 and Flare RT: 0,1,5,7,8,63. If the numbers do not match, try to do a factory reset on the light that has different numbers. Please use "Contact Developer" to contact me in case you were not able to solve the issue.

I just discovered this Widget since I now have multiple "smart lights" and wanted to see battery status on all 3 of them. This widget works great. To use more than 2 lights or having more than 1 of the same kind (2 taillight2), you have to run 2 copies of this Widget. There is a second version called, "Bike Lights 2". Install both of these and load 2 lights into the first and the other light into the second. It will give you 2 widget pages on your device. If you have any issues, the developer is very responsive.

I want to love this, but I can't quite get it figured out. Under app info it says it can control multiple headlights/taillights - I have two taillights, a flare rt and a varia RTL515. I can get it setup to control one or the other, but not both. The configurator is of limited help because it can only set up 1 headlight, and 1 taillight, but not two taillights. How do I make this work? What am I missing?

UPDATE: The clone widget "Bike Lights Control #2" in currently in review by Garmin and should be available in couple of days. The documentation on how to set multiple lights of the same type and the future link to the cloned widget: https://github.com/maca88/BikeLightsControl#control-multiple-lights-of-the-same-type In case you need support for configuring the lights feel free to use "Contact Developer", but please provide the email address, otherwise I cannot reply you back.

In order to display the correct text, you need to configure the widget by using the Lights Configurator. Please check the description on how to setup the widget or check the following "how to use" guide: https://github.com/maca88/BikeLightsControl#how-to-use

This deserves better reviews. I've tried many widgets and data fields to display/control my various Varia biking gear, and this is by far the best of the bunch. It's not perfect (slightly cumbersome to navigate, and I'd like to be able to custom-name the various light-states), but it works and is the only non-data-field I haven't deleted from my Fenix6. Garmin should have provided an app like this instead of forcing us to jump through like 10 menus.

Thanks for the review and I do apologize for a late reply. You can name each light mode by using the Lights Configurator (by changing the button names): https://maca88.github.io/BikeLightsControl/ In case you have any suggestion on how to improve the navigation, let us know on the following Garmin thread: https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/f/showcase/248492/smart-bike-lights-data-field-bike-lights-control-widget

I don't really understand what do you mean by "It won’t stop connecting to my watch", can you explain how do you see that the widget is trying to connect to the watch? The widget itself doesn't try to establish any connections, it uses the Garmin API to control the paired ANT+ lights. Please use the "Contact Developer" option or post on the following Garmin thread: https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/f/showcase/248492/smart-bike-lights-data-field-bike-lights-control-widget in case you are willing to explain the issue in more details.

Does very little on a 530. Battery status is all it shows and not very good at that!

Thanks for the fair criticism, this widget is basically a stripped down version of "Smart Bike Lights" data field and for devices like Edge 530, doesn't make much sense having this installed instead. Based on that, I will probably remove the support for devices where it adds little to no value.
