Name: Blade Runner 2049 Orange Desert Live Watch Face
Author: mac-technologies

Somewhere past the edge of Las Vegas the air has turned to orange dust. A lone figure in a long coat walks into it - and, step by careful step, the haze takes him.

Orange Haze is an animated digital watch face after the most striking image in modern science fiction: an abandoned city drowned in sand, under a sky the colour of a furnace.

• It's alive. He comes out of the dust, walks on getting smaller, and the dust thickens round him until he is gone. Then there is only the haze, until he walks out of it again - a 12-second loop with no seam.
• His walk is real: slow, careful steps, leaning a little to one side, as if he is waiting for something to happen.
• Drifts of dust blow across the desert on the wind, sand streams low over the ground, and the horizon dissolves into the glow.
• A large italic clock in the sky over him, in 12 or 24 hours as your watch is set, under the date in film-title lettering.

Everything you need at a glance:
• The day and date over the time
• Today's steps, your battery level and the calories you have burned - the battery turns red when it runs low
• A step goal ring around the edge, filling up as you walk

Make it yours: in the watch face's settings in the Garmin Connect app, switch the step goal ring off - or back on.

Made for fans of Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049: of Ridley Scott's 1982 original and Denis Villeneuve's sequel, of Harrison Ford's Rick Deckard and Ryan Gosling's K, of Roger Deakins' orange Las Vegas and the synths of Vangelis and Hans Zimmer. For everyone who has wondered whether they would pass the Voight-Kampff test, who has argued about whether Deckard is a Replicant, and who has read Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? More human than human - all those moments, lost in time, like tears in rain.
