A field that plots a histogram of relative running efficiency vs cadence. This allows you to find your unique optimal value for cadence that is best for your running efficiency rather than chasing an elite average of 180. Running efficiency is a function of speed and heart rate so you will need to connect some form of HRM sensor for this field to work in the absence of an optical wrist HR sensor. At present the calculation of running efficiency does not take into account gradient so should be done during a flat run (or constant gradient run to determine the optimal cadence on a slope). The field populates a histogram of efficiency vs cadence values and so takes time to become meaningful. It does not instantaneously tell you your optimal running cadence. The red histogram bar indicates the current relative efficiency and cadence, and in time the green histogram bar gives an indication as to optimum cadence. The red and green numbers show the value these cadences.
Improved efficiency calculation.

Now indicates optimal running efficiency histogram bar in green and displays the optimal cadence in green at the top centre of the screen.

Current cadence remains in red.
