Name: Run Performance – Race Pacing
Author: run_performance

Run Performance is a race-pacing data field for runners who train for a target distance and time. Set your goal once and see at a glance whether you are on track.

WHAT YOU SEE
• Heart rate with a 5-zone arc (zones from your Garmin profile, or your own)
• Current pace (smoothed, easy to read), colour-coded against your target pace
• Average pace and distance
• Estimated finish time over your target distance
• Gap to your target schedule (+ ahead / – behind)
• Required pace: the pace you need over the remaining distance to hit your goal
• Cadence in steps per minute
• Segmented progress bar toward your target distance, with 25 % milestones
• Elapsed time

PACE ALERTS
The watch vibrates when you drift away from your target pace: one buzz when you are too slow, two when you are too fast. You choose the threshold and how long the gap must last before it vibrates, so you avoid false alarms. You can also turn alerts off.
A long vibration and a summary screen mark the moment you reach your target distance.

SETTINGS (Garmin Connect / Garmin Connect IQ app)
• Target distance (presets or custom) and target time
• Pace smoothing: reactive, normal or stable
• Show or hide average pace, estimate and progress bar
• Alert on/off, alert threshold (s/km) and minimum gap duration
• Heart-rate zones from your Garmin profile or custom values
