Name: Boxing Trainer: Punch Counter & Round Timer
Author: kvotab

Boxing Trainer turns your watch into a boxing round timer and heavy-bag punch counter. Train rounds, follow called combos, test your speed, power and reaction time, and see every round in Garmin Connect.

WORKOUTS
• Rounds: round and rest timer with a get-ready countdown, end-of-round warning, bell sounds, vibrations and 3-2-1 beeps.
• Combo Coach: combos called on screen with a buzz, like 1-2-SLIP-2, at beginner, intermediate or advanced level.
• Free Bag: an open session; the BACK button starts a new round.
• Presets for Boxing, Amateur, Pro (12 rounds), Muay Thai, Kickboxing, MMA, Tabata, Bag burnout, Sprint intervals and Long rounds, or set your own times on the watch or in the Connect IQ app.

PUNCH TRACKING (the hand wearing the watch)
• Punches per round and in total, and your pace in punches per minute.
• Punch types: jab or cross (from your stance and watch hand), hook and uppercut.
• Power of every punch (peak g), hardest and average, and estimated fist speed.
• Optional "both hands" estimate and a buzz on every punch.

HEART RATE AND GARMIN CONNECT
• Heart rate with zones, average and maximum, recovery during rest, and calories.
• Saved as a Boxing activity: every round and rest is a lap, and the activity shows your punches, punches per round, punch rate and power.

TESTS AND PROGRESS
• Speed test, power test (your 10 hardest punches) and reaction test.
• History of your last 30 workouts and records: most punches, best round, fastest pace, hardest and fastest punch, best test results and lifetime totals.
• Glance with your lifetime punches.

BUILT FOR GLOVES
Taps are ignored during workouts, and everything works with the buttons.

GETTING STARTED
1. Settings: choose the wrist that wears the watch and your stance.
2. Calibrate - Sensitivity: hit the bag 10 times.
3. Calibrate - Punch types (recommended): 8 straights, 8 hooks and 8 uppercuts, so the watch learns how you punch.
4. Sensor Test: check that each punch counts once.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Only the hand wearing the watch is measured; "both hands" doubles that as an estimate.
• Power is peak acceleration in g: good for comparing your own punches, not a force measurement. Speed is an estimate.
• Counting depends on calibration, your bag and your technique. Older watches that read motion 25 times a second are less precise for fast combinations.
