I was actually contemplating to write my own intermittent fasting app. Doing some research on how to do that I found some great advice but someone mentioned that I should give it another search and I'm very happy I did so and find this app. It is very well done, with more options than I could have asked for, simple to use, works great on my Vivoactive 4, Fenix 6 and Forerunner 735XT. Applause for the developer and many thanks!

Works well except on my 945 every time you hold the button you get a “double menu.” So if you’re ending a fast, you’ll see the “end fast” menu, and then another “end fast” will open above it. Work around is to just start/end once and use the back button to skip the redundant menu, but it took a little while to figure that out.

The app is simple and useful however it drains the battery. I tested my watch with and without the app and when it's installed my watch battery gets killed in a couple of days, actually day and a half. I run marathons so I can't afford to waste my battery. I use a Vivoactive 3

It doesn't seem to work on Venu. Can't access any functionality except for whther or not to mute the notifications...

The widget was doing great, but then stopped working. It seems frozen, I can’t get to the ‘start fasting’ button anymore. I removed it from my list, not sure how I can delete & re-download? It would be great if you could set a fixed alarm to start & stop fasting.

You can not set your starting time, or the exact time you want to fast, so totally unusable

I would appreciate if you would read the manual or at least the description, as I took quite some time to document the use of the widget.
You simply start the fast, when you want to begin fasting. This is by design, as picking date/time values on the watch is a cumbersome process.
The widget provides a variety of common fast lengths like 16 hours, 20 hours or 36 hours by default, but you are able to define up to three custom goal values in the widget settings, available through the Connect app on your phone or Garmin Express on your computer.

Hi I like the app... But I don't know where or how is it recorded on my connect app..

as discussed in our e-mail correspondence, there are no records being kept besides the streak. It is also not possible to seamlessly integrate with the Connect app as a 3rd party developer.
All the best,

Great app to track fasting. I agree with prior comments to at least be able to edit the start time. People forget these things sometimes.

Very nice graphical interface. What would make the widget better is if we could edit start and finish times. And also if some kind of record and history was saved as well as statistics of fasted hours per week!

thanks for using the widget and leaving a review!
Not being able to edit fast times was a deliberate design choice, because to me fasting is about commitment and sticking to your goals. That being said I'm currently working on a way to edit to allow back dating the start time to some degree, because sometimes we forget to start our fast directly after finishing our meal.
Unfortunately, I'm already very close to the memory limit on some devices, so adding a statistics page probably isn't possible. I've added it to the requested feature lists though and will look into it.

I've been waiting for ages for someone to create a decent app for fasting & you've excelled with this. I normally use an app on my phone but ive deleted it in favour of this on my watch (fenix 6x pro solar). Well done developer.

thanks for trying the widget and the praise. I'm glad you enjoy using it!

Het was even uitzoeken. Er zijn veel opties die mij nog niet duidelijk zijn. Ik puzzel nog even verder. Maar hij telt af. En geef calorieën aan. Dat is wel grappig.

There is a link to the manual at the very top of the settings menu and here on the store page as well. The space in the menu itself is simply too limited to explain options in detail. You definitely want to read the manual before using this widget or you will miss out on most of the customization features.
