Ballistics

Description

Ballistics is a ballistic calculator. It's a perfect companion for hunters and long range shooters who occasionally need to accurately hit a target at a different range to what the rifle has been zeroed to.

Disclaimer: the application uses generic ballistics formulae which should be accurate enough for hunting use. For shots longer than 250m (or 270yds) the calculations should be verified at shooting range to make sure the calculated values match your specific cartridge and gun combination. The calculations are heavy and take more time the farther the target is. The app initializes on first calculation and when the settings are changed, which takes between 1-2 minutes.

The watch displays the units according to its general settings (Settings/SystemUnits/...). Unfortunately, the ConnectIQ phone app only supports imperial units for Ballistics, so when entering the settings in the phone app you need to convert them manually and enter them in imperial units.

I recently purchased Epix in the hopes of consolidating some electronics. Apparently I did not do my homework very well and all the fanboy post were misleading. Having said that, this specific app is not something I would be able to use in the field. Yes, it is that bad or the training for the app does not show you an easy way to use it.
