A data field that allows you to log gels, track carbs and caffeine, and get refuelling reminders during your activity.

Create up to five gel presets with a name, carbohydrate and caffeine amount in the ConnectIQ app on your phone, and then sync with your watch. Enable the gels or tweak the fuel interval on your watch prior to starting your activity.

Add the FuelTrack data field to your activity and then tap during the run to log a gel. You may also use the manual LAP key, though this will only increment the gel in the first position (and will add a LAP marker to your activity). Tapping allows you to use different gels in an activity and not introduce LAP markers.

The data field shows your preset counts, carbohydrate and caffeine totals, and a countdown to your next fuel reminder. Logging a gel restarts the countdown. When the countdown expires, FuelTrack shows that fuel is overdue and vibrates.

FuelTrack writes cumulative carbohydrate/caffeine values and saved gel-count, carbohydrate and caffeine totals into the activity's FIT file. These support Garmin Connect charts and activity summaries.
