Hello! Because of the lower definition of some watch models (such as the Vivoactive 4), I do have the feature available in settings to remove the carbon. You will find that it is much crisper with the carbon background enabled on the lower definition screens. The Carbon turns out quite well on the AMOLED displays of other devices. I have just released an update which allows you to select a solid background or change to High Contrast watch hands using the Garmin Connect app. Hopefully this is what you had in mind!
