Name: Queen Boudica art nouveau 4 phase face
Author: IndigoMor

A beautiful Celtic/Art Nouveau style face honouring Boudica, Queen of the Inceni tribe.

The face follows your watch's own sunrise and sunset times, so the scenes turn with the real sky wherever you are. Sunrise and sunset scenes each hold for ninety minutes either side of the moment itself.

Dawn - According to the Roman historian Tacitus, Roman warriors raped Boudica's daughters and flogged her. The arrival of the Romans and the burning of her village. This scene shows their arrival.

Day - Boudica raised an army to take on the Romans. The hare represents the goddess Andraste, who the Iceni worshipped as the goddess of victory.

Dusk - Boudica's greatest victory was the sacking and burning of Londinium (London), shown in a sinset scene.

Night - Boudica died following defeat in a final battle with Suetonius's Roman troops. This scene represents her burial, overseen by Andraste, and the grieving of her daughters.
