December 1, 2019 | Version 2.8
I've been using this screen about 80% of the time. After the developer added the heart rate as a choice for the additional field I'm sure I'll use it 95% of the time!
November 23, 2019 | Version 2.73
It is possible to select virtual power from other third party data instead of power?
November 23, 2019, bjarnib
The app requires a power meter connected to your Garmin device.
November 10, 2019 | Version 2.73
Now its working with Descant Mk1, thanks.
September 26, 2019 | Version 2.70
It looks OK. However, on the Edge 530 if you have it be anything other than full screen all you get is a power number. What really want is the dial to be smaller so that I can have it along with other fields.
September 26, 2019, bjarnib
It is difficult to fit the gauge in a smaller field and still keep it legible. PLease look at some of my other apps such as Power Slider, Power Bar or Power Chart which are designed with this in mind.
September 2, 2019 | Version 2.70
I can't set up correctly... It displays an error when trying to put the FTP value

Please note that at this time there is an acknowledged proplem with the Garmin Connect IOS app that affects modifying settings for installed Connect IQ apps. Garmin is working on this. It is possible to use the Connect IQ Store App for iOS to modify settings and circumvent the problem until an update is received. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/connect-iq-store/id1317652970

I loved it on my Edge 520. Could you please make it compatible with 530? I miss it already!

Just released ver 2.7

Works nice i on my edge 520 plus. Easy to ride right watt zones on the road. Graph in the middle is nice to see past few seconds. Like the colours. Lap time doesn't stop when ride is paused.
January 25, 2019 | Version 2.61-upd7
May 5, 2018 | Version 2.61-upd5
This app is good for what it does, which is to show graphically the wattage being put out. I use it mostly for indoor sessions that require me to hit a watt zone target for a lap time (lap time is my second field, 3s watts is the main). After some non-intuitive fiddling with the zones, I've managed to show the zones the same as my lactate blood tested zones. However, there's a really annoying display feature with 5 numbers evenly spaced that have NO correlation with the zones... the colours and the Z meter field are accurate, but those 5 crappy numbers are really distracting... but can't be turned off.
(even in the picture description it's faulty. The 1 is next to the grey, the 2 is next to the light green z2, but the 3 is next to the z4 yell and the 4 is next to the z6 red band.)
3 star until the developer gets rid of the useless and distracting 5 number series, or replaces them with the real zone numbers.

Hello Matthew and thanks for the review, To clarify, the numbers around the scale are denoting the wattage scale (x100) for some reference. I.e. 1 denotes 100, 2 for 200 etc. The throught being to tie the othewise non-labeled zone pallette to a wattage scale. Hope this explains this a bit.

Why do I have 10 zones on my Garmin 520? How about making it so that you can choose between a 5/7 zone system? And the option to choose % or zone 1/5/7?
February 10, 2018, bjarnib
Please get in touch directly via the email link if you have questions. I will be happy to work with you. Note that by defining the zones properly you can effectively choose the number of zones displayed on your device. The zone definition in percentages allows you to change only your FTP as it changes and not reenter all the zones.

I've been using this data field on my Fenix 5x for about five rides so far. It has been really helpful. What's great is the ability to create custom zones, change smoothing options, and display cadence. The little time vs power plot is helpful too; it's nice to know which zones I was in when I wasn't looking at my watch. Like another commenter requested, I would also like to be able to edit the zone names. I use the same zone definitions as that person (1,2,X,3,Y,4,5). Thank you!
January 13, 2018 | Version 2.61-upd
Seems to work great on a fenix 5s for running power so far, Not sure if its doable or a quick fix but Can you code it so the Zone txt is editable?
Id like it to say 1, 2 , x, 3 , Y, 4, 5 rather than 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 to mach the zones I use.
Also id like to use your hr guage on the Fenix 5s I have if that can be coded as well!
January 5, 2018 | Version 2.61-upd
Great idea, but still testing it. I have a Fenix 5x and can't figure out how to change the app's settings; it is not clear to me from the write-up. I'd like to experiment with the 3s/10s/30s averaging, and with the %FTP zones. Also, is it possible to set the extra field to pace? Thanks.
December 28, 2017 | Version 2.61-upd
On my Fenix 3 hr doesn’t work.
Problaby its my fault....
Somebody can explane to me the correct use of this app? Thanks a lot....

Please check the instructions on the download page. You need to create a new screen with only one field and then you select the ConnectIQ field PowerGauge to display on the screen. This is helpful also : Check the section on Data Fields. http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2015/01/connect-iq-intro.html
Also make sure you have a poer meter connected and providing data to your fenix. This app requires a power meter to work.
December 25, 2017 | Version 2.61-upd
Great. Stable, works as described on my Fenix 3. Good UX, readability. The smoothing options meet my needs, usually 3s. One more field would be nice, and I'd make it my home data screen.
October 6, 2017 | Version 2.61
This App works fine on Edge 1030.
Some suggestions for a little improvement: The power curve in the middle is not very useful. Its better to create another field and move the power field to the position of the curve. The new field has the same format as power data field, where the user would select between hr, km/h, cadence etc.
October 5, 2017 | Version 2.61
This is the perfect app (version 2.61) to visualize your power zones for running (with STRYD foot pod) and cycling. I use this app on FR935 (running power) and Edge 1030 (cycling power) without problems. Very useful is that you can adjust the low power value from 0 Watt to 200 Watt and the high power value down to 300 Watt. So you can get a high resolution of visualization of the really interesting power zones.
August 25, 2017 | Version 2.4
Works well on edge 520. Use this screen most of the time. Easy to configure zones for an old bloke who can't see small numbers when riding.
July 2, 2017 | Version 2.4
How I can configure the data fields and zones for this app on my garmin 820?
May 3, 2017 | Version 2.32
Works really well with the Fenix 3. Would be great if your FTP could sync with Garmin user settings.
April 30, 2017 | Version 2.32
Working brilliantly with Stryd for running on the F3. If only the power designation range (1-2-3-4-5) was moved on the inside as it overlaps with average power on top. Z1 for running is around 80-90% for running, so half of the range is Z1. Could we also request for more options for runners like pace, HR zone, vertical speed (essential for hill climbing) etc?
April 22, 2017 | Version 2.32
400W is too high minimum limit for handcyclists. This limit should be removed or lowered significantly.
April 15, 2017 | Version 2.32
Works great, until the IQ! screen comes up per the previous reviewer.
This is on Edge 1000 with latest firmware.
Needs to be more stable, then 5 stars!
March 14, 2017 | Version 2.3
If you touch the screen while display this a IQ! is displayed instead of the data field. And it won't come back to PowerGauge until you reboot the Edge820.
What does the numbers 0-5 stand for? Obviously it it not the powerZones as there are seven of them.
If these things are fixed I will change my rating to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
March 14, 2017, bjarnib
The numbers 0-5 represent the watt readout (x 100) I.e. 1 = 100w. Regarding the data field disappearing when touching the screen, please make sure you have the latest firmware installed. You may want to try uninstalling/reinstalling the data field.
November 13, 2016 | Version 2.2
Cannot get this to work at all on the Edge 520. It displays the graph okay, but I don't get any reading when Im using it. Let me know how to fix this and not only would it get 5 stars but I would gladly donate for your work, cos it looks like it would be well worth the money, if it works.
December 23, 2016, bjarnib
Please get in touch directly via the link on the page to get this working. Make sure your power meter is connected and working with your Edge device.
