Nice app, very useful in some cases. It is a good idea to add an option to change a background colour to black(better option for amoled displays). I saw on the screenshots that you can get in to some settings in that app but idk how to do that, maybe it is a bug or smh. Garmin Venu 2 plus

Do not forget to configure your Android, especially if you have an overlay. Override the battery optimization for example.

No matter what I do, I always get "launch a navigation on maps". I checked 100 times permissions in battery's performance settings, notifications etc... Is there any more specific setting you can suggest to look for ?

Unfortunately doesn't work on the epix gen 2. disabled all battery settings but no succes. if someone got it working on his epix 2 please let me know :)

The problem is not related to the watch but your phone. Depending on the overlay you have to disable battery optimizations. Your epix 2 works very well, it's on the phone side that you need to set it up better.

Die App läuft ausgezeichnet und zeigt sämtliche Routinganweisungen aus Google Maps auf der Uhr an. Zuerst hatte ich kurz das Problem, dass die Richtungspfeile falsch angezeigt wurden. Von Entwickler erhielt ich sofort die Antwort, dass Maps etwas an der Schnittstelle geändert hatte, und dies zur Fehlinterpretation am Garmin führte. Zwei Tage später kam ein Update (V2 1.1) im Play-Store von Google und jetzt läuft die App wie eine Eins. Besten Dank für die App und besten Dank für den schnellen und professionellen Support!

Requires a complicated setup (install a phone app with special rights) but once everything is set, it works nicely.

It requires the same right as Garmin Connect which also reads notifications from your phone. Was not Google Maps I have no other way to do it.

Hallo, ich habe diese heute das erste Mal getestet. Zuerst hat es ganz gut funktioniert, doch es gibt laufend Abbrüche, es steht dann immer: starten sie eine Navigation bei Google maps. Die Navigation war die ganze Zeit auf meinem Handy eingeschaltet.

The problem is not on the watch side but on the phone side, you have to check if you have google maps notifications in your status bar but also that there is no battery manager that cuts the application

As many have commented here, the app stays on the page 'Launch a map' irrespective of the status on the phone. I've also seen the developer's response to similar comments in the past. Doesn't seem to be helpful.

Do you have google maps notifications in your status bar? Don't you have an overload on Android with a battery optimizer that would shut down the application?
