Surf Tracker: Track your surfing sessions in real time! This data field estimates the number of waves ridden using speed, time and distance thresholds to mark the start and end of a wave ride. Totally recommended, it works flawlessly and gives precise and thorough information about the session. The only thing I get wrong, because I do not bother, is the direction of the wave (left/right). One day I'll try to make it work too.

It does`nt work! I tryed every variation. Setting: Measure BeachDir an Start of Activity - on I stay in front of the water (beach behind me) calibrate my compass - check in my watch I go to SUP - Datafield - watch in Dir to the waves - wait for stability Data "BeachDir" press Start. But it dont recording the waves - after Surf I have Zero Data on my watch! Really annoying.

During the session is perfect. You see what you need. At the end of the wave the watch vibes and you can easily see what you have done. Even the worst and mushy wave is detected. On the phone you can see the statistics.

Brilliant app! After tweaking the settings a little on my forerunner 935 (reduced the speed and distance thresholdd) and making sure I calibrate the magnetometer before every session it works without fail. Well done with this.

It worked ok but somehow shows up as "other" activity in Garmin connect and not as surfing activity. How can I change that? Also that enable me to see my longest wave, total number of waves etc in garmin connect webapp?

What a great developer. Support for Vivoactive 4 and Venu was added within hours of emailing a request! The tracker looks fantastic on the Venu screen. Thanks so much Dave!

I love the app. Some days I feel like I have not gotten any waves, and then my watch reminds me what a great day it was! I have a question about speed. I am finally getting into bigger waves, and I am interpolating how big they are from the speed in the app. The last two sessions I got max speed of 30 and 33 kph, but then the graph is only showing spikes close to the 20 mark. Should I discount the max speed for cases like this? Thank you so much for creating this app. Pavla

le he instalado en los APP de Paddle Surf y Natación, pero cuando lo activo al momento de surfear, no se mueven los datos, se quedan todos en cero.

For some reason, it does not recognise right waves at all, even during long and fast rides...could it be because of the bad beach facing detection? Guys please help me with that.. Add Beach Facing Detection measurement as a option before hitting START 1) Calibrate compass - Ok done that 2) Point watch 12 hand at waves perpendicular to beach - what does that mean? 12 hand? 3) Go to data field page and get a stable/reliable heading - where should I go in order to do that? 4) Hit START I am a little bit disappointed for now, but thanks for your effort mate...
