WISPWARE – Paces: a data field for your walks and runs, with Wisp along for both. Free forever: the whole screen, every number. Optional Pro unlock, CA$2.88 once, key shown instantly at checkout, no account: https://buy.stripe.com/4gMcN50cf68S8nw0Me6Vq03 · Payment Required.

Every step counts. So does every pace.

On a walk, today's step goal leads: how far you are, how far to go, and a ring round the screen that turns to a rainbow when you get there. Under it, this walk's steps, time, distance, pace, heart rate with its zone, and steps per minute. On a run, Paces switches itself to a runner's screen: time and distance magnified, pace and heart rate in your zone's colour, calories, and the zone. No setting to change; the tag at the top says which it is.

Setup, once: on the watch, open Walk (or Run), then Settings › Data Screens, add a screen with one field, and pick Paces from Connect IQ. Add it to each activity you want it in.

Free, forever:

• The whole walking screen and the whole running screen
• Today's steps against your goal, kept across pauses
• Heart rate with its live zone, in Garmin's zone colours
• Wisp, smiling at your milestones and getting determined in the hard zones
• Three colours: teal, gold and pink
• Drawn for each watch's own screen, readable in sunlight

Pro unlock (CA$2.88, one-time, this watch):

• Wisp talks you through a walk: how far to your goal, halfway, goal met, and a little encouragement
• Celebrations: a sparkle every kilometre (or mile) and every 1,000 steps, a bigger one at your goal and at 5K, 10K, half and full marathon
• Animals that cross the screen as your heart rate changes zone, from a turtle to an eagle
• Nine more colours

Not every watch shows everything. The zone animals are on the Venu X1 only. Your watch, line by line: https://wispware.vercel.app/fields/paces

How the unlock works (no account, no trial nag):

1) Use Paces in a walk once first, so the watch can make your code. Then in the Garmin Connect IQ app, open Device › My Data Fields › WISPWARE – Paces › Settings › Unlock (Pro) and copy your Unlock code: 8 characters, letters and numbers (for example 1234ABCD). It is not your Garmin Unit ID, which is 10 digits.
2) Go to the checkout link above, paste the code, pay CA$2.88.
3) Your Licence key appears on the page immediately. Copy it and save it. A copy is also emailed to you as a backup, so check your inbox (and your spam folder) if you close the page too soon.
4) Back in that same Unlock (Pro) screen, paste it into Licence key, click Back, then Save. Pro is on the next time Paces is on screen, offline, permanently.
