Just given 3 stars as when it was first installed it was reasonably accurate although easy to spoof and get an extra 10-15 W by putting in a surge in the last 2 mins of an 20 min FTP test. Recently it's stuck on 200 W whether it's getting power from PT hub, Quarq crank or Zwatt crank arm.

For best results, the first time you use the app, perform a Peak Power effort (i.e. obtain your highest power possible) while you are fresh and before you attempt an exhausting effort. Look for an opportunity to put out your highest wattage possible first and from then on you should be good to go.
If previous power data errors are causing it to now show invalid values, simply reset the app using the reset function in the app's settings.

i am struggling to get it to show up on my fenix 3 HR. I have tried to install it several times with resets of the watch, but it does not show up on the programs. Any help would be appreciated.

Have tested this app on my Edge 810 over three solid rides now (two outdoor and one trainer ride using Zwift). It's given a pretty spot on reading of my FTP compared to my past test results and the effort I put out for those rides. Would definitely recommend it. Beats doing an old school 20-minute test!
It would be good if the final figures were stored somewhere for future reference. Maybe they are and I just haven't figured that out yet?

I am using with a Garmin 520. What's My FTP displays w/kg in the data field. How do I get it to display as watts instead?

Check the app settings using GCM or GE.
May 8, 2018 | Version 3.1
Worked perfectly initially on my Edge 1000. However now the FTP is indicated under my average power on a 2 hour ride. I think this was after the app update. I have the lap reset switched off.

Worked great until I did a reset on my Garmin EDGE 520. Reinstalled the app and now it’s stuck at an FTP of 300. I tried reinstalling it but that didn’t help. Now I read in another comment you need to turn off auto lap.
It would be really helpful if the Developer could provide comprehensive instructions or a short walkthrough as how to install and what to watch out for. Am I missing something else maybe? Any setting I have to pay attention to?
Another thing is I set the app to W/KG but that doesn’t change anything in the display and I dobt seem to be able to turn off “reset on lap”.

We've just pushed out a new update that has a setting to reset the app back to its default values. Check it out.
February 17, 2018 | Version 1.5-upd2
Works perfectly on my Fenix3, but on Edge820 the FTP is far too low. On the same ride I have 220 on Fenix and 150 on Edge.

Check your device's lap and the app's "Reset on Lap" settings.

Glad the developer is active responding to feedback! The app is very cool. I didn't realize that the FTP resets every lap button press until I saw their notice about that; I had thought that the app was just experience errors or I needed to update it or something. Definitely going to toggle that off for my riding since I have autolap enabled on my Edge (I don't need it resetting every couple of minutes - 5 miles).
I think it should be more obvious that the app will reset its FTP estimate every time there's a new lap.

It’s great but it doesn’t work with the latest edge 820 firmware update. are you going to fix it?
January 11, 2018, BaronBiosystems
Nothing has changed in the Garmin ConnectIQ platform that requires any changes to the app software. Try using Garmin Express and/or Garmin Connect Mobile to re-install the app. Perhaps there was an error that occurred during the firmware update process.

By far the best Connect IQ feature I have found. It will be my method to gauge my FTP for this season.
Many thanks to the developers.
January 2, 2018 | Version 1.5-upd
Loved it when it worked. Stopped suddenly working. Wonder if it has anything to do with 12.50.

Perhaps try a reinstallation. Firmware updates can sometimes affect CIQ apps.

Beautyfull, but drains your batteries.
October 10, 2017 | Version 1.5
The FTP calculation resets when ever you click lap on you garmin, rendering it useless during an interval session.
October 10, 2017, BaronBiosystems
By design. You can disable this in the app's setting with Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile.

Works perfectly on Edge 1030
September 21, 2017 | Version 1.4.3
Simply great. The app works well on my 520. I've tested the app for 2 month in several trainings & a lot all-outs now (I was very sceptical) & I'm sure: it works.
Furthermore the numbers at the display motivate me during the all-out which is also a big plus.
Bye bye old (& horrible) 5 + 20 test. Welcome What's my FTP app.
Great Job Xert. Thanks a lot :-)
September 1, 2017 | Version 1.4.3
Seems OK, but I cant remove from my 520 unit, either remotely using Bluetooth and my phone or when plugged in via USB to my PC?
August 30, 2017 | Version 1.3.3-upd
I am very interested in this app!
I am having a problem with my iphone 8 as it says it can't update the latest update though. States that it has an uninstall error.
Any thoughts, as I would love to update.
Great app otherwise!

Sometimes, Garmin Connect Mobile can be fussy with the CIQ apps. If you recently installed it, it should not need to be updated.
August 28, 2017 | Version 1.3.3-upd
Is it possible to save the data of the ride to Garmin connect?
August 29, 2017, BaronBiosystems
Your Threshold Power (FTP) and other fitness variables are managed and saved on Xert. We hope our app demonstrates the innovative capabilities of the Xert platform.
August 24, 2017 | Version 1.3.3-upd
It works ! pretty accurate
August 22, 2017 | Version 1.3.3-upd
It's really a great and motivating tool ! Congrats for building it !
A feature that would be very nice is the possibility to show at the same time :
- the FTP of the day
- and the FTP of the lap.
Is that possible ?
August 15, 2017 | Version 1.3.3-upd
The app seems to do what it promises, however, the initial experience is sub-par. The configuration options clearly state "reset on lap" -- that's "LAP", so to me, that means the LAP button, not the start/stop button. OK, so that means I can press the stop button for a long pause in my ride, and then press start to resume, and a reset should not happen. To the contrary, start/stop DOES RESET the app, just like, I presume, LAP does. Disappointing after giving it my all, only to find the reading had been reset after I used the start/stop button mid-ride. 3 stars for an average first-time use and lack of instructions. Otherwise, I'd give it 5.
August 14, 2017 | Version 1.3.3-upd
The results provided by this app are very much similar to the one I had for FTP. It is awesome to see a trustable FTP real time.
August 14, 2017 | Version 1.3.3-upd
waste of time
August 16, 2017, BaronBiosystems
Be sure errors don't creep into the datastream. Since it doesn't use 8 or 20 minutes worth of average data but instanteneous data instead, errors will be amplified. If you suspect an error, delete the app and reinstall it to reset its internal settings.
August 10, 2017 | Version 1.3.3-upd
Gave results that were almost identical to my 20-minute test.
NOTE: You have to throw down a hard effort. I'm talking 90+ TSS for an hour. Load a hard workout, and watch it do it's magic. Lots of these other reviews seem to be user error. The algorithm seems to work.
August 7, 2017 | Version 1.3.3-upd
I really like the idea but can't seem to get it to work. Installed on my F5X and it worked the first few times. But now it is stuck at either 100, 200 or 400 from the start of a ride and never changes even as my power changes. I also do not see the colored ring to indicate progress of measurement.
August 7, 2017, BaronBiosystems
Try removing and reinstalling the app to reset it to the default settings. Power spikes can cause errors.
