Does not stop in breaks. I walked 7 miles and it counted 2000 steps. I will look for another app.

Not bad. But the nr of tracked km keeps going up even when I stop walking. I am afraid the calorie counter is therefore also inaccurate as a consequence. I can't have burned 800 calories by walking fast for 8km in 1h05min (I weigh 88 kg and am 1.80 mt tall)

It IS called hiker and not backpacker, but I charged my watch completely before a backpacking trip. Hiked about 6 hours paused it, Next morning it had completely drained my watch battery after about 2 hours

If there were a battery save mode, I would give this 5 stars. It works great for short hikes, but anything over 10 miles and it might die on you.

Amazing app. I've used this on multiple multi-day hikes and having the map Trace of where I've been has saved me lots of time trying to figure out where I am on a map.

I used to use this app a lot during my hikes, but it's been a few months now that it doesn't record the GPS route anymore. Synching with Connect, it keeps all the recorded data but the GPS route.

Worthless after 20 minutes. It started out okay, but 20 to 30 minutes into my hike it switched my display to only show heart rate info (not even accurate info), and no way to change it back to display the info wanted.

Great app but there is one big problem for me. In a break i tried to load my device with a powerbank but then the app automatically stopped and saved the activity so i had to start a new one. Now i have 2 activities for one hike

Seems that the only fields that we can change are the 4 at the bottom and the size of the font is quite small. Seems impossible to change the 2 larger fields at the top (time of day, time in activity). It would be nice to have the flexibility to use one of these fields as distance.

Fantastic hiking app. Isn’t any harder on the battery than the standard walk app and has much more usable data with a better layout. Best feature is the compass. I often open the app just to get a compass fix! The battery just died on my original Vivoactive HR. I was considering buying the newer Vivoactive 3, but this app hasn’t been updated for the newer watch. Instead I purchased a refurbed Vivoactive HR from Garmin so I could continue using this app. (JohnD, how can we convince you to update for newer watches?)

I like it! I've been using another app called "hike", but the font is too small to see when I'm walking. Is there a way to set it to "Walk" instead of "Hike"?
