I love it! Is there any way to view each run or walk timings for each session? Im a run leader and just used it for week one. On the first day my partner said we'd completed 8 runs but the app still had one more left. I thought she was mistaken. So, we then did day two on week one and counted them this time. there were definitely a total of 9 runs instead of 8. Please can you check if an extra run has crept in on week one? Brilliant implementation - thanks so much :)

Love the app however I was wondering if there is a way of removing or skipping the warm up and warm down? I would like the tracking to only record the run and walk intervals between the runs, otherwise would be 5 star.

Instructions to access on watch were not provided, except in comments. Needs functionality to select which day of the program you'd like to use - I'm on Week 5 on the app my phone, but have no way to adjust this in the watch program. It would also be nice to be able to repeat days, as desired. That said, I appreciate the availability of this free app, it's just not very useful if you've already started the C25K program on another device.

You can adjust the week and day of the next workout, but you need to do this using Garmin Connect on your phone. This is a Garmin limitation and not something I can work around. In Garmin Connect (on your phone) enter the menu and select Garmin Devices. Select your device, then Activities, Apps and more. Select Data fields, then Couch to 5k running app. Select SETTINGS and you will abe able to choose which week and day you will use for your next workout.

App looks good. I have just started using the Garmin watch after previously doing part of the programme on a different app on my phone. Is there any way to pre select which week programme I want to use? Eg I had reached week 3 on my other provider but when I use this on the watch i cant find a way to skip week 1 and 2 to start at week 3 ? Thanks in advance

I really like this app, but not a fan of the notifications. I’d like to get rid of the 1-minute and 10-second notifications, and add a turn around notification. Also, is there a way to make it beep when it vibrates? Since I intend to continue using this app, is there a way I can make a donation?

Thanks for the feedback. It is possible to turn off all notifications for this data field via the settings in Garmin Connect on your phone. I could look at making these individually controllable. Not sure what you mean by 'turn around' notification. I assume you are doing this as an out and back run and are looking for a half way alert. The problem is that not all workouts are symetrical, so half way in distance is not necessarily half way in time and the actual time will depend on the pace of your jog and walk sections. Thanks for your offer of a donation. I have added a link at the bottom of the description on the main page.

Annie Turner’s directions work for the Forerunner 245 as well. Thank you for posting how to this!! Also, the couch to 5k program on the watch is better than on the phone in my opinion!

Works perfectly! Especially helpful in allowing you to leave the phone at home while tracking the CouchTo5k plan from the watch

Very useful app! One feature request: could you put a 'W' for walk or 'J' for jog before or after the countdown?

Thanks for the feedback. I will look at your suggestion. Unfortunately the way the Garmin API works for this type of data field means that as soon as you add one or more letters, the text gets smaller, making the numbers more difficult to read. Perhaps it could be an optional setting.

Ok so putting this app on your watch is really frustrating initially BUT the girl below me posted how to do it and it works and is amazing YAY This is what she said ATTENTION: everyone who couldn’t get this to show up on their watch. I have the vivoactive 3 music. Go to settings - activities & apps - add (at the bottom) - create - copy an activity (I chose run) - choose a name - data screens - screen 1 - edit data fields - click one of the 4 “data fields” to edit - connect IQ apps - couch to 5k

Haven’t tested it out yet but it better be worth it.

Thank you for posting this information. I do not have access to a range of watches to test with, so cannot provide instructions for every variant.

Once added, the app works as described. I do wish it was possible to adjust the alert settings. It did take a little bit to get the data field to show up in my Run app. These steps are for my Garmin Descent Mk1. Refer to your paper or online manual. - Press and hold Menu button on the device. - Scroll down and enter Settings - Scroll down and enter Activities & Apps - Scroll down to Run or any other activity - Enter Run Settings (or scroll down to copy and create a new activity) - Enter Data Screens - Press your Edit button to select Layout (1 field) - Select Field 1 - ConnectIQ Field to find the "Couch to 5k" data screen That should then add the data to your Run activity.

Works great on my 645 music, also got it working on my old 235. Love the vibrations at each minute of the run and the 10 second warning. Only criticism is the last run was for 30min not 5km.

Not good. I can't find this app on my watch. There are instructions on the review page from a Garmin employee with words like "make a copy" or "data field" in. Those instructions are hopeless because I don't know how to make copies, don't know what a data field is. I need to be told, "press the button that looks like [picture of the actual thing I'm meant to press]". I tried to find out what a data field was, but everything about it was just composed of other jargon. I just want to use an app on a watch I've paid for. The running programme itself is a good one though. I gave up on the app and just manually created every run from the C25k programme as a workout. Took ages, but it didn't involve instructions which are opaque to the point of stupidity.

Used this app for the first time today and despite the app stating the run and walk sections it stopped at 15 minutes! Am I missing something?

This is a great data field. While I didn't create a new "run" profile, I just added it to the main page of my run profile. It's a fantastic addition to the run, with both a warm up and a cool down. Very well done!

I know this program and used it in my phone apps. problem with this garmin app, that it doesn't give you the 5 minute warm-up and cool down periods. can't say for sure if it's a bug in this app or compatibility issues with my garmin forerunner 245 music watch.

Brilliant, thank you a lot for this! Much prefer using this rather than listening to the app as I run. Added as a data field in my running activity on my 235 and it works flawlessly. I also use the lap timer function so I can see the splits in Strava!
