I like this app. I like that tapping the screen advances it through the workout rather than pushing buttons - but a long tap just turns on the backlight rather than advancing (which is helpful if I'm doing the workout outside at night and just need to remind myself what's on the screen). Very simple, clean interface. Doesn't display HRM data, but that's fine. I like that the 4 core exercises can be customized. A similar app include two Joker cards, which is pretty fun - in that case the Jokers indicate 15 Burpees which is fantastically sadistic. I think adding the option for Joker cards in this app would add to the fun. One other suggestion, when dealt J, Q, K and A cards, it would be nice to be reminded how many reps those are (ie J is 11, A is 14).. because during the exercises I'd rather not have to think! Perhaps after a few times I'll get used to it though. Two small "bugs"; first, the heart and diamond cards show up in black font, and the spade and club cards show up in red font - that's the opposite of what I'd expect! :) And second, even when I quit and delete the current workout, it saves it in my activity history

Hi Clive. Thanks for the review. I have just got round to debugging and implementing some of your suggestions. You are going to have to learn the value of a picture card however!

This is a simple app but a lot of fun and results in a great workout! Well done Drew.

The app (iOS) does not have any possibility to change the workouts.
Otherwise, very nice!

The types of exercises (workouts?) associated with each suit are now configurable via the IOS or Android apps.
The deck is randomly shuffled when constructing a workout just prior to presenting the first card.
