Every real step you take hikes a real trail.

Trail Walker turns your daily step count into miles on America’s great long trails — starting on Arkansas’s Buffalo River Trail, then the 223-mile Ouachita Trail, the Ozark Highlands Trail, and finally the 2,197.9-mile Appalachian Trail. Real trails, real mileages, real named waypoints: shelters, summits, river crossings, trail towns.

Steps also earn Grit, spent in a three-branch upgrade tree: PACK makes every step carry you further, CAMP banks your big days against your rest days and builds streaks, TRAILCRAFT fills the trail with wildlife sightings, weather, and rare events. Four of the tiers are permanent either/or choices — pick your hiking style and live with it.

Install it this afternoon and you’re already hiking — every step you’ve taken today counts from the moment you first open it.

Built for the wrist: no phone app, no account, no network, no background battery drain. Open it, see how far you’ve walked, spend your Grit, get back to walking. A glance shows your trail position without opening the app, and a complication publishes your current mile to compatible watch faces.

Your save lives on the watch and survives reboots and updates. Steps can’t be farmed — the ledger reconciles against Garmin’s own daily step counts, once.

CONTROLS: UP/DOWN cycle pages (Trail, Today, Journal, Lifetime). START opens the Outfitter upgrade tree. MENU switches trails.
