You have to navigate to the controls to complete the activity and win. When you are within "visual" distance of a control (which varies between 15-40m), the watch beeps/vibrates and an arrow will appear pointing towards the control. You have to move closer in order to "arrive" at, and identify the control. In order to "punch" the control and begin the next leg, press the LAP button. After completing the activity by punching the last control, results are shown on the app, and uploaded to Garmin Connect and other linked services such as Attackpoint. G-Punch supports classic (controls must be punched in order), score-o (controls can be punched in any order), and hybrid formats including control "boxes", butterfly controls, as well as dummy not-in-play controls. It also supports score values, time limit, and penalties for finishing over the time limit.</p>

Please please add OSGB co-ordinates as this would make it useful in the UK too.. Honestly this app has so much potential as can be used to input a route via grid refs taken direct from a map giving an adhoc route plan on the go when in the hills an mountains.. One such example is you need to create an on the go escape route to safety... Having OSGB means can be used with UK mapping....PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE add it...

Finally done! We started researching this function in March after your comment, and after a lot of programming, testing, and figuring out how this would work on different watches, have finally implemented the new capabilities in the 19 May release. Be sure to check out the newest instructions posted to www.landnavapp.com/instructions.html to read about the updated functionality. We hope you like the app, and that you recommend it to other people! Please send additional feedback if you see a way it could be improved more! Thank you for the great feedback!
