Name: Sip – Water & Hydration Reminder
Rating: 3 (1 reviews)
Author: SmallHoursApps

Tired of waiting seconds for your watch to register a glass of water, or getting buzzed at 4 a.m. to drink? Sip is a fast, no-nonsense hydration tracker built around the problems Garmin users keep reporting. It's completely free: no ads, no trial, no unlock codes.

ONE PRESS TO LOG
Press START (or tap the centre) and your drink is counted instantly. No phone, no sync, no waiting. UP/DOWN picks the container; Sip remembers your choice.

REMINDERS THAT KNOW WHEN TO STAY QUIET
• Never during your quiet hours (default 22:00–07:00) or when Do Not Disturb is on.
• Never right after you've had a drink.
• Only when you're actually behind pace, and never in the middle of a workout. A gentle nudge after you save an activity.
• On newer watches the reminder has buttons for two drink sizes and "Snooze 30 min", so you can respond without opening the app.

YOUR CONTAINERS, YOUR DRINKS, YOUR UNITS
Up to 8 containers, any size from 50 ml to 2 litres, in ml or fl oz. Drink types count realistically (coffee 80%, beer 50%…).

MORE
• Heat boost: raises your goal on hot days using Garmin's own weather (optional).
• 7-day chart, 30-day average and goal streak.
• Glance, plus a "Water today" complication for compatible watch faces.

WHERE TO FIND IT
After installing, open Sip from your apps list, or add it to your glances (Settings, then Glances, on most watches). Hold UP for the menu, or touch and hold the screen on touch watches. A 3-step guide runs on first launch and stays available under Menu, then How to use.

HEALTH NOTE
Sip is a habit tool, not medical advice. The default goal is a general guide: how much you need depends on your body, activity, climate and health. Listen to your body, and follow your doctor's advice if you have a medical condition or a fluid restriction.

HONEST LIMITATION
Garmin does not let third-party apps write into the Garmin Connect hydration log, so Sip keeps its history on your watch.

Battery-friendly and private: no GPS, no web requests, no data leaves your watch. A tiny background check every 15 minutes decides whether a reminder is due. (The "Communication & Data Transmission" permission only lets compatible watch faces show your "Water today" number on the watch itself.)
