Author: FikirLtd

Meet Arlo, a little virtual pet companion watch face and a friendly nudge to get moving. Hatch Arlo after 20,000 lifetime steps, then care for a companion that grows from baby into adult. Walk 2,000 steps to earn a cookie in normal mode, or take on hard mode at 5,000 steps per cookie. Arlo's next-cookie target turns every walk into a small shared win. Arlo keeps you company alongside your watch data and comes alive when you raise your wrist: a hop, skip or bigger bounce, with a floating “poyo!”, “mrrp!” or “nyaa~”.

A tiny step-powered care loop

- After Arlo hatches, walk 2,000 steps in normal mode or 5,000 in hard mode to earn a cookie. The next-cookie target resets each local day; the jar holds up to 10, and unused cookies carry over.
- Arlo hatches after 20,000 lifetime steps. A small progress bar shows hatch progress.
- After hatching, Arlo's first meal is due eight hours later. When Arlo is healthy and a cookie is available, a continuous ring around the jar fills over the eight-hour interval toward the next automatic meal. Each missed meal moves Arlo from healthy to hungry, sick, then dead.
- Cookies are used automatically to keep Arlo well or help Arlo recover. One cookie revives the same Arlo as a healthy baby on Day 1.
- Arlo grows from a round baby (Days 1–6) to an adult with a curled tail from Day 7. After a life ends and Arlo is revived, see the current day and personal best beneath the character.

At a glance

- Time and date, daily step count with an arrow to the next cookie target, cookie jar, and battery percentage.
- Heart rate and a small red heart near the clock when a reading is available, positioned to fit the screen.
- Three original colour palettes: Sakura, Matcha and Soda.
- Optional step-count and battery fields, so the face can stay as simple as you like.
- Three short wrist-wake movement routes, each with its own playful visual greeting.

Make Arlo yours

In the Connect IQ app, open Device > My Watch Faces > Arlo > Settings. Choose Sakura, Matcha or Soda, toggle hard mode, then set the step-count and battery fields. Save your choices and they appear on the watch face.

Arlo is a complete watch face, designed around an original hand-drawn companion, expressive moods and small moments of care. Raise your wrist to see Arlo move; walking earns the cookies that keep the companion fed. The greetings are visual text, not audio, and watch faces do not accept tap-to-pet or button-to-feed input.
