Works with the Lap Dynamics app for iPhone and Android — in private beta, launching spring 2027

Lap Dynamics records your riding day on your Garmin watch and sends each moto to the Lap Dynamics app on your phone, which works out your laps and shows where you found or lost time. Leave the phone in the van. The watch keeps everything safe and hands it over when you are back in range.

WHAT YOU NEED
- The Lap Dynamics app on your phone (private beta now, public in spring 2027)
- The Garmin Connect app on the same phone, with this watch paired
Without the phone app the watch can record and hold your motos, but it cannot show lap times. The watch app is free.

HOW IT WORKS
1. In the paddock, open Lap Dynamics on the watch and press START. The watch starts a Garmin activity and records GPS position, speed, altitude and heart rate.
2. Ride. The watch notices when you set off and when you have been stopped for a couple of minutes, and keeps each moto as its own recording. No button presses while you ride.
3. Each finished moto goes to your phone over Bluetooth straight away. The watch frees the space only after the phone confirms it has saved the whole moto. It can hold up to 8 motos of up to 45 minutes each until then.
4. Back in the paddock the watch shows pages from the phone: your last moto, your day so far and your heart rate.
5. Press START twice to end the day. The day is also saved in Garmin Connect as an activity.

GOOD TO KNOW
- Uses the most accurate satellite mode your watch supports (multi-band GPS on watches that have it). That uses more battery than standard GPS.
- Buttons only, no touchscreen taps, so a muddy glove cannot end your day by accident.
- Hold MENU when not riding to record a one-minute test and check the link to your phone.
- Built for motocross first and for any circuit sport: track days, enduro, karting.
