I've used Sail2WIN for almost a year in dinghies, skiffs, and J/boats on San Francisco Bay. A location known for strong tides and challenging conditions. I've found tremendous value in the data available while sailing (for race classes that allow it) and the level of detail available through Garmin Connect or Strava Premium for post-sailing/racing analysis cannot be stressed enough! Especially when practicing and trying out new crew configurations, maneuvers, sail trim settings, or sides of a course in varying tidal conditions. When the watch settings are "set to record data every second" as the manual suggests, the data of my watch (Epix 2-same as Quantix 7) has proven to be as good and some cases better than the B&G electronics on a few newer JBoats for compass heading and boat speed at a fraction of the price. Where this surpasses these electronics especially is the ability to put in marks lat/long and see distance and heading to the mark for some races. For racers, setting the start boat and pin is intuitive, but more importantly it creates an easily readable format for a skipper or main trimmer to quickly glance at during starts.

Love this app! Been using it in Newport RI all summer and found it very helpful. Jeff was very helpful and quick to respond when I had a problem loading it, turns out it was an update issue I had with Garmin. I sail on multiple boats and each seem to have their own instrument issues, this app is always running when I race, giving me the data I need from a reliable source.

With its easy-to-use features, getting the real-time information you need (updated every second, to be exact) couldn’t be easier. A quick glance at your wrist not only saves time, but also doesn’t detract from giving your race the attention it deserves. As an experienced dinghy and keelboat racer, I can speak firsthand about its value—operating expensive onboard equipment while trimming sheets and skippering a boat is a lot to manage, and Sail2WIN offers you the best of both worlds, without cutting corners or making any serious performance sacrifices. While racing at a high level, it’s important to make every second count—seconds being the very measure that can push you over the edge of your competition—and Sail2WIN allows you to do just that, presenting SOG and VMC (yes, VMG corrected for current) readings, tacking angles and navigation to your next mark, and so much more, all in bold, glaring figures. And if you find that you need more data, you can simply toggle between different menus to display the desired information. Sail2WIN is the app you need to take your racing to the next level!

Version Ver 1.0.4
This app is a must-have for anyone who wants to improve their race performance. I used to rely heavily on Raymarine or Garmin handheld devices for giving me realtime race information but now only need Sail2Win to provide me with everything I need - Race start countdown timer, SOG, VMG, angle to mark, time to mark - just to name a few. Marks, course and start time can be entered using ConnectIQ/Garmin Express ahead of the race and all I need is to start this app a few minutes before race start. Mark roundings are detected automatically during the race and the app starts navigating towards the next mark. I am really impressed with this app and how it has improved my race performance on the race course!
