After pairing the watch with the Tesla via Bluetooth, wait for the Tesla card icon to appear on the watch; this takes up to 10 seconds after launching the app. Only then will the car recognize the watch as a key.

See battery level, charging status and speed, estimated time to full charge, lock status, Sentry Mode, climate data including current and target temperature, and driving range at a glance.

Your Watch as a Tesla Key (Bluetooth)

Wristla can talk to your Tesla directly over Bluetooth — no phone and no internet needed.

	•	Tesla Key: while Wristla is open and your car is nearby, the vehicle recognises your watch as a key and unlocks as you walk up to it. The key icon in the header lights up once the car has confirmed your watch.
	•	Bluetooth commands: when your phone is out of reach or you have no signal — an underground garage, a remote parking lot — commands go straight to the car over Bluetooth instead of the cloud.
	•	Find my Tesla: a signal-strength finder that shows the distance to your car in metres, for large or unfamiliar parking lots.

Pairing takes one tap of your key card on the console, exactly like adding any other Tesla key. Your private key never leaves the watch and is stored encrypted.

Please note: Bluetooth features work while the Wristla app is open on your watch. Connect IQ does not allow background Bluetooth, so the key is active while you are in the app, not while the watch sits idle on your wrist.
