OWM Weather - Data Plugin

This app is primarily a data plugin. It's built to work together with my watch faces (available separately) and feeds them weather data from OpenWeatherMap: temperature, conditions, humidity, wind, pressure, air quality and more. Install this plugin alongside one of my compatible watch faces to unlock those weather complications. It can also be used standalone if you just want to check the weather data it pulls, but it's meant to be used together with one of my watch faces.

You'll need a free OpenWeatherMap API key to use it. Here's how to get one:

1. Go to openweathermap.org and create a free account.
2. Once logged in, go to "My API keys" in your account.
3. Generate a key and copy it.
4. Open Garmin Connect IQ on your phone, find this app under My Apps, open its settings and paste the key in there.

A quick note on key tiers. OpenWeatherMap offers a few levels of access:

- Free tier (2.5): basic current weather, but no UV index, dew point, precipitation probability or 3 day forecast.
- OneCall 3.0 / 4.0: the full package, including all of the above, plus hourly precipitation probability (3.0 doesn't include this, 4.0 does).

OpenWeatherMap's One Call API is free as long as you stay under 1,000 calls a day, and this app is designed to never get close to that limit. For example, with the default refresh interval of 10 minutes, the app only pulls data 144 times a day, well under the free allowance. Sign up for the One Call subscription on their site (it still asks for a card, but you won't be charged if you stay within the free allowance) and you're good to go with full functionality at no cost.

Once your key is set up, the app checks its tier automatically and the watch face will show whatever data is available to you.
