Energy Expenditure

Description

This is a simple data field that displays Energy Expenditure, a momentary measure of the rate at which you are burning calories. The values are in kcal per hour.

See https://www.firstbeat.com/en/science-and-physiology/energy-expenditure/

Note that this data field requires your device to support this (unsure if all do), and it requires a HRM as it is derived from your heart rate.

This is a nice app. I noticed The Garmin Fenix3 only saves the total amount of calories burned. This app displays and saves second values, and it indeed shows in the Garmin Connect app. Unfortunately, I loose the Calories when I want to convert the FIT file to a CVS file. It appear that those converters don't recognize this data field .
