NeuroWorm Fluid - Living Connectome & Digital Zen for Garmin
Ever wanted a living, breathing biological organism swimming beneath the sapphire glass of your smartwatch?
Welcome to NeuroWorm Fluid, the flagship edition of our interactive tribute to computational neuroscience. This is not an animated GIF, a looping video, or an arcade trick. You are looking through the lens of a precision laboratory microscope into a sterile Petri dish, observing an authentic, real-time biological simulation of Caenorhabditis elegans - the legendary creature whose 302 neurons pioneered the world's first complete synaptic connectome map.
Where the Quantum edition brought retro-cyberpunk vibes, Fluid is dedicated to pure, contemplative Digital Zen and modern high-performance Garmin hardware (System 7+ / API 5.0+).

Under the Hood: A Rewritten Biological Engine
While Fluid shares its scientific DNA with our previous versions, the entire simulation engine and physics mathematics have been completely rewritten from scratch for modern hardware. The result is a radically different, far more fluid and organic locomotion. But be warned: you cannot control this creature, and neither can the developer (nor the Pope, for that matter). Its behavior emerges entirely from the real-time interaction between its sensory inputs, the virtual chemical landscape, and the digitized C. elegans connectome firing in its "brain".

The Fluid Experience:
Bioluminescent Nematode Rendering: Built on dynamic Catmull-Rom spline curves with anatomical cuticle tapering. Watch dorsal and ventral motor neurons fire in real time as nerve impulses propagate down the nerve cord, igniting glowing ganglia nodes.

Dual-Orbital Vernier Reticle: Time is no longer an obstacle in the dish. It is tracked by an instrument-grade dual vernier caliper gliding smoothly along the bezel — a rapid outer laser reticle for minutes and a deep bio-luminescent inner caliper for hours, rendered via sub-pixel Garmin VectorFont typography.

Living Bacterial Substrate: Feed your worm with procedurally generated E. coli biofilms featuring porous textures, micro-satellites, and progressive organic bite marks as the nematode grazes.

Chemical Landscape: Navigate crystalline salt formations, avoid prickly repellent spores, and watch authentic chemotaxis steer locomotion.

Real-Time Laboratory Telemetry: Discreet HUD indicators track internal neurochemistry — Hunger, Dopamine, Serotonin, Octopamine, and Neuropeptide states.

A Gentle Reminder on Biology:
Your microscopic companion is motivated by genuine virtual neurochemistry and sensory gradients. It has complete behavioral freedom: it hunts, it grazes, it rests when satiated, and yes... biological digestion is a real thing, so it might leave an occasional organic trace on the agar. True science is never sterile!

Hardware Optimization:
Engineered exclusively for modern Garmin devices (fēnix 7/8/9, Epix, Forerunner System 7+). Utilizes bit-packed 32-bit coordinate structures, zero-GC memory caching, and partial dirty-buffer offscreen rendering to deliver silky biological motion with reasonable battery drain.
