KnotNow: Easy-to-read sailing app. High-contrast race timer, speed & bearings. Built for water.

Built for sailors, wing foilers, and windsurfers who need data that works in the real world. KnotNow is designed around one rule: glanceable on the water. Big numbers, high-contrast type, and zero clutter. Every metric has its own dedicated screen, making it easy to read mid-session and easy to use with gloves.

PRE-START SETUP
• Set Wind — point the watch to the wind to set wind direction.
• Dial it in — set wind speed with the buttons, and pick your display units (knots, km/h, or mph).
• Start — a big button to remind you to begin recording.

ON THE WATER
• Metrics — current and max speed, distance, and elapsed time.
• Laps — track lap speed, lap max, and lap distance.
• Bearing — full-face compass rose with a heading.
• GPS-lock chip — always know your fix quality at a glance.

THE RACE TIMER
• 5-minute or 3-minute sequences with haptic cues (10 s, 5 s, and GO).
• One-button operation: short-press to nudge to the nearest minute, long-press to start and stop.
• Auto-lap at 0:00 to keep your race start clean in your activity file.

POST-SESSION ANALYSIS
• Summary — immediate review of total distance, time, max/avg speed, and lap count.
• Ecosystem ready — saves native FIT files to Garmin Connect, and straight through to KnotNow's sailing analysis on the web (VMG, tack analysis, personal bests). Strava, TrainingPeaks, and anything else Garmin-compatible also work.
