Name: The Morrigan 4 phase Celtic-style face
Author: IndigoMor

A beautiful Celtic-style 4-face design honouring The Morrigan, The Great Queen of the Tuatha Dé Danann. In the old tales (The Ulster Cycle, the Táin Bó Cúailnge) she is a goddess of war, victory and a seer who brought omens of death.

The face follows your watch's own sunrise and sunset times, so the scenes turn with the real sky wherever you are.

Dawn - The Morrigan wades into the river Unshin where she meets The Dagda, represented here by his club Lorg Mór.

Day - The Morrigan stands on a hillside surrounded by crows. Crows gather on battlefields and feed on the dead so they are a manifestation of The Morrigan, and she often took crow form.

Dusk - If a person saw The Morrigan washing bloodied clothes or armour in a river, this was an omen of their death. She appears to Cú Chulainn before his final battle as "the washer at the ford".

Night - The Athe Chlia, the standing stone where Cú Chulainn bound himself after the battle. The Morrigan, in the form of a crow, lands on his shoulder to confirm to the world that he is dead. The tales of The Morrigan and Cú Chulainn are inextricably linked in the Ulster Cycle.

Compatible with: Vívoactive 5

Time format: 24-hour, 12-hour, or follow your watch setting.

Settings are changed in the Connect IQ app on your phone.

Uses your watch's location and its sunrise and sunset times to choose the scene. Runs without your phone; changing settings and the Temperature stat need a phone connection.
