It displays as necessary. I wish I could use it with the GPS to input coordinates and move to different locations, but a present position finder isn't terrible when used with other equipment.

Most likely I’m missing a setting, but is there a way to make it so the display doesn’t time out regularly? I’m a biologist and am using this to walk transects, this sort of widget is a dream come true, but I’m finding it annoying having to reset the widget after every minute or so.

It is the way how GARMIN developed widgets behavior. Nobody can hold widget active for a long time. It was made for save energy reasons. If you need UTM coordinates every time, consider to use DATA FIELD and any activity running with it. UTM https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/6b3a91f4-7ef8-45af-ace3-c0fe75922a83 MGRS: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/98a909f6-c8cb-4d30-96f7-1a85151b1d3d Thank you for your review.

Simple and straightforward...MGSR has been very accurate for me. Attitude is not bad...acceptable margin of error, can’t be mad at that. Overall I really like the widget!

I live in Norway, and all the paper maps are in UTM 32V zone in south of Norway, but this widget only displays 31V zone. Is there a way to manually change UTM zone?

Ok, thanks for the suggestion to use the widget rather than the data field version. Thats a lot more readable, and also means I can get the coordinates any time. Maybe at some time you could consider a setup to display just the 3 important digits, 10Km, 1Km, 100 m. of the UTM. Meanwhile I am happy with the widget. Well done !

Information can be spotty at times and take a minute to update. Once up however this app is excellent. I'm in the military and for training events I need to call in a report my frid coordinates.

Go outdoors. Really. If you're there, please launch any activity, like Run and wait until the GPS signal appears on the screen. After that fix you can return to the widget and it will fix satellites too. If you cannot fix GPS in any activity, your device is faulty, please contact Garmin Support and replace it.
