I've had this installed for a long time but not really used it much. I would've given it 3 or 4 ★ based on that, but since I got firmware version 8.50 on my Fenix 3 I've had to disable this one. Every time I just flip past it on my way between other widgets, it causes a soft reboot of the watch. Thus my rating drops to just 2 or even 1 ★. Haven't seen much development (and I do realize this is a proof-of-concept software) but am still hopeful that maybe a fix could be released?

mattiashartikainen, please contact us at email@example.com. (We might not spot a tech support question within a review here for few days, but we respond very promptly to emails.) We can send you a build of the app built with the latest Garmin tools and see if that corrects what you are seeing. I cannot think of any specific reason why it would no longer work for you.

It Work fine but... I can't find the menu button (Forerunner235) to reset the widget or delete a way point. If I press the button I expect to be the menu button (top right of the watch, the one with the running man) it exit from the widget to give me the normal menù button of the forerunner (Activity and Setup). :-(

I like it. The screen resizing works well as your trail gets bigger. You will lose some detail as i cannot see how to zoom.
Its sometimes a little slow/awkward to get to where i need to delete a trail.
I would love to have and pay for the option to see how far i am from the start either direct line or vectored between crumb drops.

I'm not quite sure the use of the crumbs when the frnix 3 comes with a "track back" option

Nice widget. Please read how it works before you criticize it for not doing its job. You have to manually drop the bread crumbs (where you want them) by opening the widget. It drops 3 crumbs in 3 seconds so you know which direction you are going. By doing it manually you are saving battery because the gps is not running all the time, only while you drop the crumbs. In reality you should only drop crumbs every time you take a turn on a trail. This way your battery will last for the entire hike and/or several days to make sure you will find your way back. You also have the option to save up to 9 waypoints (separately from the bread crumbs).

Great widget. Perfect to mark tracks to find your way back.

Really handy addition to my watch.
Because it doesn't run continuously you could keep track of your movements all week without a charge if you remember to open it at regular intervals.

Works as described. Doesn't leave crumbs "all the time". Optimal usage is, if you just open it everytime you intend to fix a waypoint.

its only active for a few seconds (limitation as it is a widget), it does not constantly leave "crumbs". It tracks you only when you "activate" this widget, then the watch will stop tracking when it goes back to watchface.
It will be 100x more useful if this is an app

Cela serait formidable, merci!
