The current power zone is displayed next to the power value.</p><p></p><p>The data field supports the following settings through Garmin Express or the Garmin Mobile App:</p><p></p><p>* Text Color (Black/White)</p><p>* Size of the display scale (40/60/80/100 watts). I.e. how many watts does the field width represent, to stretch the scale select a lower number. </p>

Best Data Field to use on your wattage focused training sessions of races. Will make you hold your pace on climbs to avoid exploding your legs. Some issues with older versions required restarting the watch every once in a while or after some updates. Definetively worth it.

Use the Garmin Mobile app on your phone to modify the settings for the app. This is accessed through the settings menu in the app and then /Garmin Devices/Edge 1030/Connect IQ Apps/Data Fields/PowerSlider/Settings. Make sure your device is connected to the phone app and remember to press the Save button at the bottom.

The app no longer works on my 820, it is lacking a field for zone 1, and computes %ftp wrong so it wont let me input correct values into the other fields.

This is awesome! Tried it today. Pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Maybe you cloud find a way to add a second, longer average on the bottom where the black "needle" is. Like this, you replace yet another data field.

Tested the app today. Nice idea, works fine. In kombination with another app useful during power based training. There is only one problem: The power digits in black are not readable in dark green or red backgrounds! As far as I'm concerned WHITE digits would solve this problem! If changed this my rating will be 5*

simple, works great and well implemented. The lines and text for every 50W on the background scale is difficult to read on the Edge 520. The red on the last high end of the scale is very dark and makes the black text difficult to read (but who is looking at a power scale when in the deep red...)
