Falcon Pilot — Aviation METAR Watch Face

Inspired by the Garmin D2 Mach 1 aviation watch face, Falcon Pilot brings a similar pilot-focused philosophy to a customizable analog watch face with its own design, features, and functionality. Falcon Pilot is independently developed and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Garmin.

Built for pilots and aviation enthusiasts, Falcon Pilot puts essential aviation weather and flight information directly on your Garmin watch in a clean, cockpit-inspired analog design.

*Aviation Weather at a Glance
- Live METAR data for your selected airport
- VFR, MVFR, IFR, and LIFR flight-category indication with color-coded visual cues
- Wind direction, wind speed, and gusts
- Visual wind triangle showing the direction the wind is coming from
- Optional wind triangle color matching the current METAR flight-rule color
- Visibility and lowest reported cloud layer
- Current weather conditions, including rain, snow, thunderstorms, and other reported phenomena
- Garmin Weather conditions with day/night-aware weather graphics
- METAR observation timestamp with optional flight-rule color coding
- UTC time indicator on the outer bezel
- Optional circular Body Battery or humidity gauge around the top weather circle, displaying 0–100% with a configurable color

*Pilot-Focused Design
- Analog aviation-inspired watch face with 24-hour outer bezel
- Digital time display
- Flight-rule color carried throughout key watch-face elements
- Cool aviation-chart-inspired background design
- Clean, high-contrast information designed to be readable at a glance
- Active heart rate available in the bottom weather/wind display
- Optional bottom-circle heart rate display
- Optional watch-face minute marks that can be disabled on watches with built-in bezel minute markings to prevent duplicated minute markers

Customizable Data

Choose what information appears in each of the four outer data fields:

- Steps
- Heart Rate
- Altitude
- Battery
- Sunset
- Calories
- Distance

The bottom-circle heart rate display can also be enabled or disabled independently.

METAR Configuration

Choose the airport using its ICAO identifier and provide your own AVWX API key.

METAR data is automatically refreshed periodically in the background.

**METAR updates occur every 15 minutes**, so changes to the selected station or newly reported weather will not appear immediately.

GPS Features:

Falcon Pilot includes an optional GPS function for location-based features.

Enable the GPS option in the watch-face settings to use the GPS functionality. To force the watch to obtain a current GPS position, start a GPS activity or open the map on your Garmin watch. GPS functionality depends on the watch obtaining a current location fix.

*Important Aviation Disclaimer

Falcon Pilot is designed as a convenient supplemental aviation-weather display. Always use official aviation weather sources, current METAR/TAF information, NOTAMs, charts, and appropriate preflight procedures for flight planning and operational decisions.

**Requires an AVWX API key for METAR data.**
