The WOO Sports app allows you to connect your Garmin Watch to your WOO 3.0 device. It will display jumps live while you are out on the water, and also show GPS metrics from the Garmin Watch. The GPS recording will be uploaded to your Garmin profile.

https://docs.woosports.com/docs/garmin-faq-troubleshooting

On compatibility, note that the firmware on older watches doesn't support the Garmin Bluetooth SDK. Garmin introduced the Bluetooth SDK (meaning apps can use Bluetooth to connect to 3rd party devices like WOO) about a year ago, all old devices (e.g. fenix 5) are not compatible with it. Only the newest ones are compatible. Unless Garmin releases a firmware update for old watches to support the Bluetooth SDK, we cannot make our app compatible with those watches.

Incredibly well done integration, really helps to see how you are jumping during a session and then see several metrics on speed and distance in Garmin Connect, great job!

Works very well with a Fenix 5 Plus (only 1 session). I’m glad Woo is supporting Garmin watches. I will report back once I’ve tested the app more thoroughly

Awsome app, loved seeing my jump stats after every jump, the only thing i'm missing in the detailed view is the g-force of that specific jump. Maybe it's a good idea to have the detailed view flexible, that the user can pick which items het wants where on the view. Especially handy when you could add pro features so you don't have to redesign the layout.

Really great to have real time information on my Garmin and it works amazing most of the time. Only had one jump not showing the reading on the watch, but it was still recorded and visible at the end of the session. Would really like to have the option on settings to always have a white background. That's how I used previously while kitesurfing with a profile created on the watch, and it's way more easy to read while on the water.

Globally happy with the app except when it lose connection with the WOO, sometimes it doesn’t connect anymore. And it’s impossible to ask for searching the woo back except if you close the app (and then the session). More frustrating: I just did a 20km downwind and when I stopped the session, the app crashed and my Forerunner 245 restarted. The whole activity wasn’t saved, so I lost all the data!!! I don’t know if enabled live track had an influence on that crash. Hope to see an update to fix that!

App is looking pretty good but doesn`t show the right jump height. It connects without problems and shows a jump height after every jump, but most of the time it`s not the correct height. One time it showed 17.5 Meters when I just did a normal Backroll. Also this 17.5 Meter Jump did only show up on the watch not on the Woo/Phone after downloading the session. on the last session I had I jumped around 15 Meters high a few times and the watch always showed 8-9 meter Jumps only. Is there someone with the same Problem or a solution for this issue? Thanks, Sebastian

Would you please contact support and share your Garmin activity (link to the activity with shared access) and Woo session (Woo user name and session date) where you had this problem? We will investigate the issue. Few things to note: - Watch does not show a jump if connection to Woo was lost. For example, if you fall after you high 15m jump and get separated from the board, the watch will get disconnected and not show the jump. However Woo will still have it and upload to the session. - Some erroneous jumps (like your 17.5m) are filtered out during session load to the phone. We implemented same filtering algorithm on the watch in the latest versions of the watch app. Please make sure you update the WOO app on your watch to the current version. However we still would like to review your session in case we missed anything, so please contact support with the information we outlined above. Thank you

Cannot express how happy I am with the garmin implementation! It simply works and gives you direct feedback after every jump and provides you with various stats as you go. Forerunner 245.

For the moment I only got the recording status, so green or red circle which confirms that the woo was connected, but no jumps displayed, very frustrating

If you do see red or green circle, it means that WOO is connected and good to go. Make sure you turn on recording on WOO itself. Watch doesn't change the WOO mode, it just shows the mode WOO is in. If you see red circle on the watch, it means WOO is connected AND it is in recording mode. Now the watch will show jumps. If the circle on the watch is green, then WOO is in stand-by mode and it doesn't detect jumps. However, if you are no longer able to connect your watch to the WOO, here is a troubleshooting guide: https://docs.woosports.com/docs/garmin-faq-troubleshooting . If the issue persists, please contact WOO Garmin app support - we'll try to resolve it. Thanks!

Top app! Real time altitude info! This motivates even more to stay on the water and go higher. Nice that you can ignore jumps below a certain height. Then the bouncing over the waves is filtered and you only see your real jumps.

Awesome app! Works really good! The calories calc is off when using the watch over wetsuit, but woo team wrote back that this is done by garmin api, so nothing they can optimize.. now you all know, if your friends burns way more calories

Not sure what I did wrong.. today I used WOO app first time on Fenix 6S. Very cool to see all info directly on watch! First I stopped session on watch and saved it and exit WOO app. Opened Garmin Connect app to save session, this worked. Tried downloading on WOO app.., there was no session to save.. It seems all info was transported to watch/ connect? How can I download session from WOO device to my WOO app personal log, after using WOO app on watch?

Most likely the loss of WOO session is not related to the Garmin WOO app - the app doesn't change data on the WOO, it just reads jumps broadcasted by WOO in real time. The issue could have been related to a WOO firmware update (if you have done one recently). Hopefully it was a one time the problem, but if it persists, please contact WOO Garmin app support - we'll try to resolve it. Thanks!

Since my Forerunner 645 Music wasn't a compatible device I made a request to WOO Sports and Garmin to get an update, just a week ago. I got immediate responce from both and now the WOO Sports is installed in my Garmin device. Great job and thanks!

Everything was super ok (woo was blinking red, Garmin 245 was red and I was able to see my jumps) until I wanted to save the session in my phone. There was no session to save on the Woo although my Garmin 245 was showing my jumps. I dont know if this is a Woo problem or a Woo-Garmin problem. Never had this issue with the Woo alone.

Works great on my First Avenger watch (vivoactive 4) great to see jump feedback in real time. One thing to remember for anyone with touchscreen watch is to look your screen after starting your session by holding top button and pressing lock icon
