The WOO Sports app allows you to connect your Garmin Watch to your WOO 3.0 device. It will display jumps live while you are out on the water, and also show GPS metrics from the Garmin Watch. The GPS recording will be uploaded to your Garmin profile.

https://docs.woosports.com/docs/garmin-faq-troubleshooting

On compatibility, note that the firmware on older watches doesn't support the Garmin Bluetooth SDK. Garmin introduced the Bluetooth SDK (meaning apps can use Bluetooth to connect to 3rd party devices like WOO) about a year ago, all old devices (e.g. fenix 5) are not compatible with it. Only the newest ones are compatible. Unless Garmin releases a firmware update for old watches to support the Bluetooth SDK, we cannot make our app compatible with those watches.

ALERT: There seems to be a Garmin firmware issue related specifically to the newest watch models like Fenix 7 that causes GPS not to connect. We were able to reproduce it and now are looking for a workaround.

Version 2.6

Attempted workaround fix for firmware issue on some watches causing GPS not to start

Version 2.5

Added Instinct Crossover watch

Modified GPS setting to allow all GPS configurations supported by a watch (including AutoGNSS SatIQ if supported)

There was an issue with the 2.5 update that conflicted with Garmin firmware on Fenix 7 but the developer worked hard and fast to fix the problem. Thanks so much!

I don’t understand, when I record my session on the woo app, I don’t have my jumps, just the GPS, but my Jumps are records in my Watch Fenix 6?

Hi, i'm using a forerunner 245 with my woo device since the app was released. Lately i feel like the app / the woo is missing more and more " regular" jumps, anyone else has that issue? apart from that great app! great fun! :)

Love the app. However where do we get a document to explain the 3 data screens and what each field is?

I'm happy you published the GPS stand-alone session tracker but probably the best user experience is to choose at beginning between a WOO+GPS or GPS only session.

Connection between Garmin & Woo works perfect. Too many data fields shown and therefore difficult to read. @developer. Consider a flexible format so user can select the number of data fields and what data to be shown.

Really love the app, the latest update is great! The fields are nice. Only since 2 wks I have errors with saving Big air session from WOO device. Maybe I'm not following the correct order when stopping session and exit app..? Which device should I stop and exit first or doesn't it matter at all? After stopping, a mix of green/red light stays on WOOdevice and 'hangs' for a few minutes before turning off. No visible problem with Garmin watch. Data is stored. BigAir data in Woo app is gone...nothing to upload, only freeride session can be uploaded from Garmin. In Garmin app the jumps are visible in Jump IQ. So I know the connection was ok, because I saw the jumps during the session too. Only problem with saving.. The error happened twice last 2 wks. Is there a solution? TnX

Wenn ich die Session Beende und speichere, startet sich dann ein paar Sekunden später die Uhr neu! War vorher nicht so. Ansonsten ist alles super!

Incredibly well done integration, really helps to see how you are jumping during a session and then see several metrics on speed and distance in Garmin Connect, great job!

Works very well with a Fenix 5 Plus (only 1 session). I’m glad Woo is supporting Garmin watches. I will report back once I’ve tested the app more thoroughly

Awsome app, loved seeing my jump stats after every jump, the only thing i'm missing in the detailed view is the g-force of that specific jump. Maybe it's a good idea to have the detailed view flexible, that the user can pick which items het wants where on the view. Especially handy when you could add pro features so you don't have to redesign the layout.

Really great to have real time information on my Garmin and it works amazing most of the time. Only had one jump not showing the reading on the watch, but it was still recorded and visible at the end of the session. Would really like to have the option on settings to always have a white background. That's how I used previously while kitesurfing with a profile created on the watch, and it's way more easy to read while on the water.
