The design of this data field is built around a core of fixed fields and a number of fields which can be configured for a particular activity. The top and bottom rows are common to all the datafields in my ‘Multi’ family. Super nice. Only thing is that uphill and downhill meters are not accurate.

This datafield only displays what the watch has recorded. Altitude gain and loss figures recorded by Garmin devices are notoriously inaccurate. They are a little better if your device has a barometer sensor so it can use pressure changes to log altitude changes.
