Grid draws a true seven segment display. Every digit is built from segments,
and the unlit ones stay faintly visible, ghosted behind the lit ones the way
they are on a real LCD, so the time reads like an 80s digital watch rather
than a font on a screen. A small seconds register sits beside the minutes like
a chronograph sub-dial, counting live, and a minute ring fills around the
outside as the hour runs down.

If you wore a 1980s LCD watch as a kid, this is that watch with a Garmin
behind it: the same eighties display, drawn properly, with your data in it.

ON THE FACE
• Seven segment time with ghosted unlit segments
• Live seconds counter in a chronograph style register
• Heart rate and outside temperature either side of the time
• Steps, distance, calories and battery along the bottom
• Step goal progress bar
• Full bleed minute ring
• Weekday and date bar
• Seven accent colours, four data slots you pick yourself

SETTINGS
Open Grid in the Connect IQ app, Garmin Connect or Garmin Express and change:
• Accent colour: orange, cyan, green, amber, red, white or magenta
• The four bottom slots, each picked from steps, distance, calories, battery,
floors climbed, active minutes, heart rate, temperature, respiration or empty
• Seconds counter on or off

ALWAYS ON
The always on display is designed separately rather than dimmed. Thin strokes,
no large lit areas, and the display shifts slightly every minute to look after
AMOLED screens. On memory in pixel displays the ghosted segments switch off so
the time stays sharp in sunlight.

DEVICES
Supported on 115 devices, including fenix, Forerunner, Venu, Instinct, epix,
vivoactive, Descent, MARQ, tactix, quatix, Enduro and Approach.

HOW THE FREE VERSION WORKS
This is the VX version: the complete watch face, free to use for 5 days. After
5 days the colour switches off and a red TRIAL ENDED banner appears across the
face. The watch keeps telling the time, and the banner stays until you move to
Grid Elite.

Grid Elite, the same face with no banner and no time limit:

REVIEWS
On this store a rating is the main thing that decides whether anyone else finds
