Name: VarHam: Ham Radio Field Kit
Author: Varsuite

VarHam is the ham radio field kit for your wrist. UTC and your grid square at a glance, the greyline on a live world map, space weather, a band conditions estimate, the nearest Parks on the Air activators, and a Morse code trainer you feel through your watch.

Built for park and summit activations, portable operating and everyday shack use.

CLOCK
Big UTC time with a sweeping seconds ring, your local time, your Maidenhead grid square straight from GPS (4, 6 or 8 characters) and your callsign.

GREYLINE
A dot matrix world map showing day, night and the twilight band, with your position and the start and end of your next greyline window in UTC, plus a countdown.

SPACE WEATHER
Solar flux, K index and A index on animated gauges, the storm level in plain words, and the last 24 hours of K at a glance. Data from NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center.

BANDS
Good, fair or poor for 80 to 40, 30 to 20, 17 to 15 and 12 to 10 metres, by day and by night, estimated from solar flux and K index. The column for your current daylight is highlighted.

POTA SPOTS
The nearest Parks on the Air activators with frequency, mode, park and distance, and an arrow that turns with your compass to point at the park. Filter by band, mode and distance in the app settings. Spots courtesy of Parks on the Air (pota.app).

MORSE TRAINER
Learn to copy Morse with the Koch method. Your watch plays each character as vibration or tone, you pick the answer, and a new character unlocks when you reach 90%. Character speed is adjustable on the watch.

GLANCE
UTC, your grid square and current conditions in your glance list, without opening the app.

Space weather and spots need your phone connected. Everything else works offline.
