- Disk space — inspect storage usage and available disk space.
- Service overview — check selected system services and identify failed services.
- Bash aliases — discover and run supported aliases configured on your Linux system.
- Custom commands — configure your own actions for scripts, services, bots and other workflows.
- Live terminal feedback — view command output and error messages directly on your watch.
- Remote actions — trigger supported operations, including a Raspberry Pi reboot.

BUILT FOR LINUX USERS

Whether you're running a Raspberry Pi, a home server, a self-hosted service or a streaming setup, RaspPi-Remote Lite puts useful administrative actions within reach when you're away from your desk.

Possible use cases

- Check whether your server is healthy while travelling.
- Restart a streaming or background service.
- Trigger a maintenance script.
- Check disk usage before storage runs out.
- Control your own Linux-based projects remotely.

LITE EDITION

The Lite edition provides 7 configurable command slots. It's a practical way to try wrist-based Linux administration before considering a larger command set.

HOW IT WORKS

The Garmin app connects to a companion API running on your Linux host. The API executes configured actions and returns their output to the watch. Remote access requires a correctly configured endpoint and authentication token.

Installation: paste curl below (full text) into ssh terminal of your Pi.

curl -sSL https://gist.githubusercontent.com/piotrkuzemczak-stack/8c83164f72c5f296aa6afa67fcdaecde/raw | sudo bash

if you want to check safety and quality of code:

Installation will generate safety token and URL. Write them in the APP setup on your smartfone, when you install the RaspPi Remote on your watch.

PLEAS LET ME KNOW IN COMMENTS HOW THIS APP WORKS FOR YOU. FEEDBACK VERY WELCOME.

- Apple users: this app works in an Android environment, but you can probably adopt it to iOS. I can't help here, as I do not use any Apple device myself.

RaspPi-Remote Lite turns your smartwatch into a powerful command center for your homelab, IoT projects, or Linux servers. Trigger custom scripts, restart services, monitor CPU/RAM stats, and receive raw output (stdout) directly on your screen in real-time.

NATIVE ALIAS SUPPORT (New!)
The backend API automatically scans your .bash_aliases and .bashrc. Add an alias on your Pi, and it’s instantly executable from your watch—no JSON editing required.

LIVE TERMINAL FEEDBACK
The watch parses and displays the actual stdout/stderr returned by your Pi (multiple lines of text). Ideal for checking sensor readings, server loads, or script confirmations.

SECURE BY DESIGN
Powered by Tailscale in Funnel mode. All requests are authenticated with your custom Security Token and via HTTPS.

ZERO-DEPENDENCY BACKEND
The server-side API is a lightweight Python Flask application served by a production-ready Waitress server. Running as a reliable systemd service, it is designed to be highly efficient, stable, and won't bloat your system.
