Racer Pacer – race to your target time

Racer Pacer is a full-screen data field that tells you at a glance whether you're on track for your goal time, and buzzes when you need to adjust, so you can keep your eyes on the road.

Set your race distance and target time, and Racer Pacer does the rest:

• Ahead / behind schedule – a big number in the centre shows how many seconds you are ahead (green) or behind (red), with an AHEAD / BEHIND / ON PACE badge.
• Schedule bar – the centre tick is "exactly on schedule"; the bar fills to the right when you're ahead and to the left when you're behind, plus the distance in metres.
• Current pace – smoothed over about 10 seconds, so it doesn't jump around with every GPS wobble.
• Distance to go, elapsed time and projected finish time.
• Heart rate – a zone-coloured pill and a zone ring along the bottom of the screen, based on your own heart rate zones.

Vibration alerts (no need to look at your watch)
• 1 long buzz – you're too slow for the pace you need to hit your target
• 3 short buzzes – you're too fast
• 2 medium buzzes – the time you banked ahead of schedule is running out
• 1 short buzz – another kilometre done (your split shows on screen for a few seconds)
Pace alerts only fire after 10 seconds outside your margin, at most 3 times per situation, never in the first 45 seconds and never after the finish.

Settings (Garmin Connect / Connect IQ app)
• Race distance: 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon or a custom distance
• Target time (MM:SS or H:MM:SS)
• Buffer alert threshold
• Kilometre vibration on/off
• Pace vibration on/off and pace margin (sec/km)

Works best as a single full-screen data field; it also has a compact layout for smaller data field slots.
